I have no idea how old this amp is. I bought it about two years ago from a pawn shop for $90, and I would say it's probably the best $90 dollars I've spent on guitar stuff. It's very close to the CD-40 in other reviews submitted here. I have to assume it's 30 watts. It's two channels, with switching, an effects loop with level controls for send and receive, pre-amp out and power amp in (can't say I've used any of them that I can remember), spring reverb, two sovtek 6l6 power tubes and three 12ax7's, and a single 12 Scorpion speaker. The Scorpion is obviously a modification, as it was done poorly. Other than that, it's very astetically pleasing.
I give it an 9 because it does everything I ask it to and I don't believe in perfect scores.

I mostly use this amp as a device to collect dust, not because I don't like it, but because I have had little time for guitar lately. Even with the hack job speaker I really love the sounds I can get out of this amp. It's as loud as you would want a 30 watt combo to be. That is to say, plenty loud for the bedroom as a practice amp, and quite nice in small clubs turned all the way up. I have used this in conjuction with a Laney 30 watt VC 30 and have had no problems with cutting through the mix.
I am currently playing through a Fender Tele I've had wired up like a Strat and a Peavey Generation Series which looks like a Tele and has a Humbucker in the bridge. I have also collected a few stomp boxes and use them when the mood strikes me. I really love the sounds I get from this amp with the Fender and my Boss OS-2. Very crunchy. This amp doen't like my Big Muff Pi very much unless I'm playing the Peavey in the bridge position. Other than that, clean is nice, though that's what the Laney is for, and anything from OD to sludge is why I like this one.

Looking at the amp, whoever had it before me must have tossed it from one gig to the next. There is a huge dent in the rather hefty folded metal case on the back near the speaker outs, and the grill was all fuZZed up before I gave it some TLC. When I did gig it was with both amps, so while I would be sad, I wouldn't NEED it. The connection for the foot switch works when it wants to, probably due to abuse.

I bought it used...from a pawn shop...for $90. I couldn't tell you about Dean Markley, as I have never tried to reach them. Though now I'm very tempted to to see if I can get replacement parts for the foot switch.

I have been playing for 6 years, and like to play more stoner rock, jazz, and blues than anything. I would be unhappy if it were stolen, mostly 'cause I like the way it sounds and looks and the fact that I don't know of anyone else having this amp. I would attempt to replace it with the same, as long as it wasn't ungodly expensive. I wouldn't change anything with this amp except the speaker and fix the footswitch... I would like to hear from anyone who might have this amp too.
