Do not know what year this amp was made. I traded my buddy a .22 pistol for it, and he had had it since he was a teenager, and he is 26 now, so its at the very minimum ten years old. two input channels, foot switch jack, line in jack, line out jack, built in chorus. Its got 2 8 inch speakers in it (thus, it is a stereo amp), and is, as the name suggests, a 40 watt amp.

I use it with a Fender Standard Satin strat. It is somewhat suitable for my music style, which is hard rock. I actually prefer to paly it only when I want to play clean or clean chorusy types of things. Its is in need of a "tune up", so it is a little noisy when I turn the knobs (actually, noisy as hell when I turn the volume knob) Its a little more sedate an amp than my style calls for, but it is a solid little amp.

Its been around some, and though my buddy took good care of it, it is still in darn good shape. I would gig with it, in theory. Solid construction.

Overall, I would say that I like this amp, BUT... it needs a good servicing so its not so damn scratchy when I turn the knobs. I can't say I am in love with this amp, but I do like it, and I have no intention of getting rid of it. It is the first "good" amp I have ever had (as opposed to the series of little crappy 10 watt practice amps I went through.) At one point I owned a Marshall 100watt valvestate, and was very disappointed in it. I recently bought a 30 watt SpiderII amp that I am a big fan of, but I still find myself plugging into the Dean once in while. Additionally, its super nice to have two decent amps for when my buddy comes over to jam, or when non-guitar players come over, as they think it is quite rockstar to have guitar stuff lying all over, like my room. Anyway, I give it an 8. Decent, workingman-type amplifier.
