What do you want for a hundred dollar amp? If you're looking for a JCM800 crunch sound you are not going to find it. If you're trying to have that crystal clear Fender sound, go fish. This is a equipment for home using, but you can gig with quiet friends. It has all that a study amp must have. 2 channels, an all-channels eq. and a head phones output.

Sound Quality : 8
This amp has an clean channel that is quite good. The distortion channel is very dark and far away from a overdrive JCM800 sound. It looks like an chain of 3 cheap distortion pedals linked together. But the clean channel is very good. I use the clean with a pedalboard and can achieve almost any sound.

Reliability : No Opinion
Never had it broken.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with the company.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for 4 years. Got a Fender Highway 1 left-handed guitar. If stolen or lost, i'll look for another amp. I love the clean channel but hate de distortion channel.

It has the basics for an amp; reverb, clean channel, distorted channel, and high/low/mid controls. It can't go very loud, so playing it in a band practice session is out of the question. But as far as practicing by yourself, it works great. It has the best distortion that I've ever heard on a practice amp, very akin to Marshall practice amp.

Sound Quality : 7
I don't use the clean channel much, it too much trouble to switch channels without a footswitch. It plays a vicious sound with humbuckered guitars. I usually play grunge or metal on it. It lacks any kind of throaty bass or anything like that, but the sound quality is very high so long as you don't turn it up all the way. It is just a PRACTICE amp!

Reliability : 9
I've had it for three years and thrown it around in my car when I travel with it and it still looks and sounds new.

Never dealt with the company

I have played guitar for seven years and this is one of the better practice amps that I've played through.

This is an addition to my previous review. This amp is junkier than I thought (yes six months will mean a world of difference). The overdrive channel "Level" pot broke, so that it bounces around if you hit the amp. I mean you accidentally kick the amp and it blares 3x the volume. Plus the clean volume pot is really screwed up...my humbucker-based guitar overloads it all the time...sounds nasty, scratchy noise.

Sound Quality : 3
the distortion is still good and all, it just won't stay on one volume. Bloody annoying it is.

Reliability : 2
No because you can't hear it over the drummer or the bassist or hopkins on the acoustic, and it overloads anyway. scratchy...

Customer Support : 3
Hootie and the Blowfish endorse them, enough said. If their service is anything like their product...

Dean Markley makes junk amps. Worse than Peavey. My friend has a Dean Markley 20 something, and he broke it just by playing it to loud. It was a good practice amp, and still is, but for gigs or even jamming with friends it can't do jack. My opinion go to Musicians Friend and buy a $250 Fender amp, save your money in the long run. Cheap doesn't always pay.
<p>
This amp's tone is awesome, to the person who thinks Marilyn Manson is the Man and uses a Cruise guitar (read the reviews, enough said). For anyone else, it, well, sucks.

This is basically a practice amp. It is 60 watts, 17 to the 10in speaker. Clean and overdrive channels. It has built in overdrive with selectable gain and level. The 3 EQ controls. Reverb. Overdrive and reverb can be switched on and off using a footswitch, not included. Headphone jack. The rating is in regards to a practice amp.

Sound Quality : 7
This is a decent practice amp, and I guess you *could* use it for a gig. I've played with it before at a worship service and it was loud enough clean, however using the overdrive really kicks in the volume.
It doesn't go loud enough for really gigging though. Mostly a practice amp.

Reliability : 9
Never broken down.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 8
Great practice amp. Can do a bit of gigging too (could serve as backup). Good amp.
