I believe this amp was built in late 80's because the original store sticker on it dated Feb. 1990 . I just got it used for $150.00 ca. Ther's one thing though after reading the previous reviews I look for the Dip Switch in the back & found none. It seems to have dirty pots which I should be able to correct with a little cleaning (I hope) other then that I was quite impress with the sound of both the built in distortion & the clean channel & I personnally find the bass level to be quite normal I even cut some of it off (mind you I don't play metal or grunge) so for me it does the job quite well & I especially like the reverb sound (quite Dire Straightish I might say) I mostly play world beat (Latin & African) & I find that it packs quite a puch for it's size we'll see live with the band. I too like the look (sort of vintage)

As I said before it is well suited for what I want to be using it for , that is recording, practice & live gigs with my band in club settings. It seems to be quiet enough although I do not use FX's with it just me & my custom shop Telecaster with 2 Seymour Duncan humbuckers. I also use the distortion more in an overdrive capacity ( for more bite)...

I've been a Bass Player for over 35 years & played guitar on and off for around the same period. I bought it because it seemed like a good amp for the money I was willing to spend. I almost went for a tube head that I compared it to but this was more powerfull & practical (beside the head alone was the same price but without a speaker cab. I wish it was a tube amp (just old fashion I guess )

Has a lot of features for an inexpensive amp. The 8-DIP switch on the back is used to control the overdrive tone to each players preference. It's a great "dorm" amp, and is quite adaquate for smaller gigs (bars and such) with enough noise. Has headphone jack for practicing.

Clean sound is great. Distortion is flexible. On rare occasions, volume fluctuates. Can get frickin' loud.

Something is funky in the design which creates volume fluctuations. If i figure out what I'll post more info.

I got mine for a steal at $170 coupled with a dunlop crybaby wah. I love it's versatility and maximum volume but the infrequent problems make it a pain. If you're gonna spend $200-$300 on one of these save up for another month and get a fender Hotrod Deville.

I've had this amp for almost 5 years. I bought it new for $250.00. It started out as a good amp for the price. But over a period of time it went down.It is a 95 Watt amp. It has 2 channels overdrive and clean. Reverb, EQ knobs, speaker out, line in, line out. headphone jack, foot switchable channel swap, foot switchable reverb. also has 8 switches on the back for custome bass and overdrive settings.

I used a zoom 1010 multieffects pedal with it and it sounded slightly cheesy, prolly te pedals fault. I am currently using a BOSS distortio n pedal, BOSS stero chorus pedal and a Morley "Bad Horsie Wah" sound alot better with the BOSS and Morley. I didn't like the bass that well. It has had one consistent problem , and after numerous trips to the repair shop it still remains. The volume fades in and out on both overdrive and clean channels. I haven't been able to understand the reason for this. The Dean Markley techs have worked on it and assured it was fixed but when I get it, it still does it.

The Dean Markley reps were nice people, and very helpful. I have sent it off 3 times for repair , problem still exists. Finding an authorized repair center wasn't hard if you live in TN, I had to send it off which cost me about $25.00 both ways and for three trips about $150.00. Warranty is for 5 years...which was good in my case, to bad they couldn't fix it though.

I've been playing about 12 years, I have owned 3 other amps before this a Parker amp and a off brand which I don't have anymore but it was a practice amp.If it were stolen or lost, I would thank the people that stole it for taking a headaches off my hands. If it were lost I would not look for it. I bought it cause money was limited, choice was limited. I wish it was better constructed. I'm buyin a Crate or Marshall amp. Dean Markley has good strings, but need work on the amps.

My k-65 spent a bit to long in a garden shed so the pots are a bit crackly. It was bought from a pawn shop and then flogged onto me for #50 ($50ish) - I don't have the set-up manual for the gadget at the back - will somebody clue me in on how to get the best out of it?
I like my amp and it goes really loud.

2-channel 50-watt 1x10" solid state combo, line in / out, headphone jack, footswitchable reverb and overdrive. There's a small 8-switch-module on the back to fine-tune the overdrive sound. Both channels share EQ, which can be a problem if you want both the nice clean and the mean overdrive sound. Pretty versatile amp, considering the money I paid for it. I play mainly rock, and this amp will do the trick, though I basically use it as a practice amp. 50 solid-state watts isn't too loud, and if you want to play out, you'll have to mike it. On the other hand, if you have neighbours you might not want to turn it all the way up to play in your bedroom. I like the way both the logo and the covering give this amp a vintage look.

I play a Fender 90's custom tele and a Squier Strat, both with stock-pickups. I kinda got a hate-love-relationship with this amp : in general I hate the way it doesn't have any bass at all, probably due to the 10" speaker, and I hate the noise it makes when you turn it up even a little bit, especially with my strat. I've tried everything : most of the time I turn the treble all the way down and the bass all the way up, but it doesn't really help. As a matter of fact, I've even run my guitar through my Samick(!) Bass(!)-amp for some gigs instead of using this amp, try to get the picture if you can. On the other hand, whenever I haven't played this amp for a while, I'm always pleasantly surprised with the reverb and overdrive possibilities. I don't use the overdrive often though. It can be more brutal than you would expect, but there was no footswitch included when I bought this amp, so I decided to buy a Boss OD2 instead. Needless to say, the clean channel isn't Fender-tube-clean and the overdrive isn't Mesa or Marshall, but this really is a good practice amp, and I'm not sure you will find a better overall amp for this price.

When I bought this amp used, I couldn't turn the reverb all the way up because I'ld get this high pitched whistle. I didn't care to have this repaired though, and currently the whistle is totally gone, don't ask me how I did it, I have no idea. This is a well build solid-state amp, I don't expect anything to go suddenly wrong with it, as long as you don't drop it on the stairs.

Haven't met these guys, probably never will. I bought this amp used, I have no idea how old it is, so I don't really expect it's still under warranty.

I've been playing for over two years, this has been my only guitar amp so far, but currently I'm trying to find me a Fender Hot Rod amp. I would buy this amp again if I would have the same amount of money to spent and I would be a beginning player again. In my opinion, buying the cheapest Fender or Marshall is definately not a good decision, because you pay for the logo, so you will get more for your money if you buy from another brand. Don't underestimate this line of amps, I have seen the guitarist of dEUS (probably the best known Belgian band)playing a Dean Markley, so if you're not a pro and you don't want to spend a lot of money, go for it !

This is a solidstate 50w combo amp w/ 1 12". I bought it used w/ a 1 12" ext. cab. I has VERY nice features for such a lowed priced amp. On the front it has a guitar input, two jacks for on/off pedals (reverd and overdrive), a headphone jack, a line in and a line out. It has clean and an overdrive channel. Clean: Vol., Treble, Mid, Bass; Overdrive: Drive and Vol.; Both: Reverb. On the back is a 6 switch overdrive channel voicing control (256 possibilities) which really either adds or subtracts bass and fuzz, and there's a speaker output for the ext. cab, or anything else you have.

I used it for a long time since it was my only loud amp with great sucess. I found out a lot about it in that time. In a closed space (my drummer's room) you can get AMAZING sounds from it with a chorus and a distortion pedal. The feedback with this setup is the sweetest thing you'll ever hear. Its own overdrive is good for any application except metal. Since I got my Yamaha 50w I don't use it as a guitar amp much, but with its line input I can use it with my stereo's headphone out to let the whole neighborhood hear SRV and Nirvana, YEAH! The only area where it doesn't really shine is its highs. I believe the speaker is a little damaged, but thats all.

The only problem I've ever had with it is when I was hauling it over to my drummer's house, that's another thing thats great about it-you can bring it anywhere since its so compact and light. It was winter and 40 below. When I turned it on and plugged in it didn't sound as loud as normal, but that cleared up in 10 minutes.
