recently picked up a used KVC60 it has all the features. 2 channel with balanced and unbalanced inputs, reverb, chorus, footswith jacks in back, external jacks etc, I do not know what year it is. It has one speaker 10" or 12" I may have to open it up because some of the jacks do not work.

Sound Quality : 5
My guitar is a Hamer "Slammer", from what I have read this amp is for acoustic guitar The amp has some rattles, and hissing, when playing clean it sounds great. Any ideas everyone? Reach me at aljomatco@charter.net

This amp. is for acoustic guitarists. It features hi and low Z inputs on two separate channels, 5-band EQ, phantom power, plus chorus and reverb loops. It also has headphone, preamp in, and external speaker jacks. Because it has low Z (3-pin) inputs, a mic'ed instrument or vocal mic can be used in tandem with a direct. I expected to gig a bit with this amp., and use it for the studio as well. Truth be known, I like the amp. pretty well but I wish I'd purchased a 30-50w tube amp. I find I take my acoustic Guild D-52 directly into most boards, generally negating the need for an amp for my acoustic. It's when I play my inexpensive strat that I wish I had the tubie.

Sound Quality : 8
I use a Guild dreadnought with Martin thinline pickup. To maximize the features of this amp., some kind of preamp. is needed for an acoustic guitar, especially if a player wants to be heard in an ensemble. My gripe is that it doesn't ever distort. It's basically a super clean sound on both channels.

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems to be very reliable, but I haven't worked this amp. real hard.

Haven't had any problems after a year of ownership. I think it (DM) offers a five year warranty.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing 20+ years. I would probably not buy another one, as opposed to a straight electric guitar tube amp. I think if a player is strictly an acoustic player, this works fine, and it has a number of good features.
