do not know the year somewhere in the 80s, its a one channel amp and it has effect loop its a 120 awesome watts eric clapton has used them, as the other guy said, its all tube its an amp of its own. i used to have two of them. it has a pre and a master volume. you can get plenty head room.

i use a zion with emgs a sa/sa/81 and a godin with seymour p90s and a es-335. ive played christain metal, to very clean worship, and blues i love this amp its very easy on tubes to. it can make a 412 cab rumble are scream are it can be a powerful fender twin if you know how to use it. ive had it for years. if you turn the pre gain up you can get about any distortion you want because of the power, and it can stay clean at very high volumes my turning up the master and turning down the pre.i used it with a cab loaded with EV12LS to bad back in its day they made such a wonderful amp and quit and started making transistor crap. like i said clapton was reported using them. they even made one in a 60 and a 60 combo.

ive used it without and backup all the time, it has never given me a problem, and ive never seen an amp so easy on tubes the tubes in it have been in it maybe 5or6 years its fan cool fan very quiet. the bad thing is iam 57years old and not playing guitar much ive been playing bass and find i really like it so i might let it go for a decent price, if interested email chicknhead30@yahoo.com thats just the head its also made to rack mount.

This is a simple single channel, 120 watt tube amp. It was made in the early 80's, it is a great amp, as matter of fact I read on the eric clapton page that he used one himself for a few years. It has an effects loop and a voicing switch.
It has More than enough power, trust me.
all the standard controls, etc, check the previous guy.
I am not bashing the amp in this catagory at all. The amp is not flexible, I don't want it to be. It won't do metal, but tough, it delevers what I need, and I don't need multi-channel, I am a pedal freak

I use this thing with my suhr classic, my american tele, and my Epi LP.
I love this thing. Most the stuff I play is Blues/rock to U2-coldplay....
Lots of good music, from the 60's till today.
I play at a college & career service (age 18-25) service called the 608 (a knock off of the 722) where I play all of the latest crowder, tomlin, United etc. also. I always get TONS of compliments from the sound guys on the amp, I would not let it go for less than $1500!!
It has a great warm, gritty, clean that I use, then my Keeley comp, Keeley Fuzz head, and HBE Powerscreamer push it over the top! great amp.... eats pedals b/c it loves them sooo much!
email me to sell one, or if you are looking for more info.
ohh, tubes, (in case you were curious) 3 12ax7's, 4 6l6's

I have actually had the same tubes for over 4 years now, and they still sound great,
I have had no problems, I am a regular joe, I can't afford a backup, just the best I can afford.

I got this amp from a friend who had recently had it completely gone through by Burriss amps, I have not dealt w/ DM at all, and I doubt they still support these old things.

If it were stolen? I have a $2000 insurance policy on this head. Why? because I've tried THD, fender, matchless, custom audio, orange, everything, and for less than $2000 I was hard pressed to touch this thing
I've been playing for 7 years, since I was 10, buy this amp if you can find it, or send it to me!

This amp was out in the mid 80's Designed by Terry Laul. It is a basic 6L6 power configuration with 3 12ax7's in the preamp section. I bought mine with a matching 4 x 10 cab, but i prefer using a 4 X12 cab. It seems to me that the basic celestion G70M's sound the best to my ears although i have tried V 30's and weber thames at various times. It has basic Pre/master/bass/mid/treble/presence tone controlls, with a voicing switch in the back. Also your standard 4/8/16 ohm outs....Needless to say i dig this amp, for creamy blues and classic vintage tones ala page/beck/clapton. I am near 50 years old, been playing a long time, and have bought and sold a lot of different amps. But i cant seem to part with this one. If you are the guitar into amp kinda guy it would be worth checking out this amp(if you can find 1) One thing that i have discovered about this amp is that (to me) the bias setting should be around 50ma to really bring out the character, although anything between 35 and 50 ma sound good. Also the type of preamp and power tubes used makes a BIG difference in the sound of the Amp. Currently i am using phillips 6l6wgb stubbies biased at 50 ma. I was using svetlana's but i found that they would not take that kind current for long and would go bad within a month or 2 (playing 4hrs 3 times a week) Try different types of peramp and power amp tubes for the sound you like, its in there you just gotta figure out which is best for you. Highest praise for Terry Laul for designing a really cool amp (if you have a signiture series 60 or 120 e-mail me i am interested in buying another)
