This is a 2006 Version
Versatile for everything from Clean to mean
From Country to Metal, no prob
this has 2 channels, w/ an edge setting which is almost like a 3rd channel in order to bridge between the clean and hairy settings
The effects loop is extremely quiet w/ a footswitch
I love the way you can pull bright on the clean channel, pull fat on the gain station, and even add extra edge to the semi/dirty setting
This amp is used in the bedroom at 1/2 power or in a 2400 seat church - and fills up the stage - no prob

THis amp achieves sparkly, snappy Fender Cleans and gets a nice clean breakup when really cranked
The "edge " setting gets you that nice semi-dirt prior to distortion without having to use a pedal
The distortion can really go from smooth to brutal and when the distortion is way cranked, even dissonant chords can still be discerned clearly
I Play a PRS w/Dragon pickups
This suits my many demands for multi styles ranging from Country to blues to hard rock to fusion
THis is one of the quietest amps - signal wise. Can't even tell it's on when the volume on your guitar is up while the amp is cranked and you're not playing

THis amp is pretty solid and tough, and can be used w/o a backup IMHO
Hasn't broken down yet

Been playin 20 plus years
If this was stolen or lost, i would need to replace it, because there is no handwired tube amp yet which has this versatility for the price
I can't find anything i don't like
I LOVE the 1/2 power switch for those killer late night recordings or gigs where i have to turn down w/o sacrificeing tone
You could compare this to the Bogner Ectasy and pay 2,000 dollars less !!

2005 model: I use this amp to play rockinroll (classic rock, 90s rock, funk). It has two channels clean and edge. The clean channel is phenomenal. It gets anything from crystal clear to an overdriven fender. The clean channel has a bright switch which comes is very handy. The edge channel gets a plexish style sound with a bit more gain on tap if you want it (think of it as a plexi on roids). The impressive thing is that no matter how much gain you add to this channel it still maintains it's clarity. This channel also has a push pull on the gain knob for modern gain sounds. It sounds good, but i never use it because I am not into that style of music. This 50 watt head has plenty of power and also has a half power switch to overdrive it at a lower volume. There is also a foot controlable lead boost with its own gain knob.

I use a fender strat with and a gibson les paul custom with p-90's. The les paul shines on the edge channel giving you the ultimate rockinroll tone. The strat sounds great through the clean channel and sounds good on the edge as well but obvoisly isnt as full sounding as the les paul. This is a very verstatile amp that screams rockin roll. It gets great clean sounds, and overdriven clean sounds on the clean channel. The edge channel gets plexish type tones, but maintains its own charachter. The push pull on this channel allows for all the gain you would ever need any more. The lead boost sounds great and is very useful for solo's.

The company was great to work with and answered all the questions i had. However i woudlnt recomend ordering something around the time of the Namn show (dec/jan). Since they are small bussiness they are overly occupied at this time and the customer service seemed to drop during this time peroid. They were pleasent and friendly at all times and answered any questions i had to offer.

I give it an overall rating of 9. I have been playing for 5 years non-stop. I have owned marshalls, fenders, vox's, and oranges previously and the Demeter is by far my favorite. It suits my style perfetly. If it were stolen i would def get another one.
