It definently had the features.

Sound Quality : 2
I really highly disliked my Diezel 4X12. It had this almost too clean sound to it, couldn't get any of my guitars or heads to really get any decent grit or crunch with it. For a heavy sound was terrible.

Reliability : 4
Can't really rely on something you can't stand

Customer Support : 1
The company was basically like well bring it into a shop if you want but you might just need some new speakers.

Overall Rating : 3
Sound came out of it, looked awesome but sounded terible.

Bought New, definitely versatile. I play anything from heavy, modern sounds, to classic, to reggae. I use a variety of vintage and new Gibson's, Fender's, humbuckers, single coils, hollowbodys, you name it. all sound amazing. very "true" tone.

I got a hybrid speaker setup in an "X" pattern. 2 celestion 30's for the more "vintage tone" and Diezels "custom" speakers, which the retailer at tonemerchants (www.tonemerchants.com...great store) referred to as V60's. great combo, you get a mixture of that cut thru midrange vintage sound mixed with a punchy sort of more scooped mids sounds all at once. very even, balanced tone because of that.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using it with the guitars i mentioned going thru an Engl Powerball 100, and absolutely amazing sounding amp, and incredibly versatile, read my review here on harmony-central. makes the Engl sound like gold as it was meant to be. i've played the Engl thru a few other cabs, nice cabs, but nothing brought out the crystal clear and definted subtle nuances like this one. i also play my '87 marshall JCM800 2205 thru it occasionaly. again, makes it sound perfect like the marshall is supposed to sound. my buddy usually plays the marshall thru a marshall 412 cab, a mid level one, tho, and it sounds not even 20% as good as thru the diezel. we're just saving to buy another to get rid of the marshall.

Reliability : 10
built like a freakin' tank. these things are indestructable. i have it in a "live in" road case too, so this thing will be fine pretty much forever.

I've been playing for 13 years, and even though i'm always on the relentless and unending quest for the perfect tone, this has definitely plateued me and am really happy with sticking here for quite a while. im always looking to expand, of course, but for most of what i do, this is perfect.

i also looked at the Engl 412...sound amazing, but when i went to buy they were all gone, and hard to get...but im defintiely not disappointed with the Diezel...judging from my memory, i actually think the Diezel is warmer...the Engl was about 120 lbs if i remember right, which made for an amazingly solid tone that couldnt be moved...but almost too solid, like near stiff...i think that served better for more metal type pressure riff style stuff...i think all in all, the Diezel is probably way more well rounded, being able to probably handle more types of styles.

and, for the price, at $1000, its well worth it...you figure youll spend almost the same maybe 1 or 200 bucks less for consumer quality item, like mesa or marshall...but this thing is far more pristine and well worth the extra dough, and its comprable to other "boutique" lines, like Engl, Bogner, etc.

NOT MUCH ELSE TO SAY ON FEATURES OTHER THEN YOU CAN RUN IT MONO OR STEREO.
THIS FRONT LOADED I THINK IS MADE OF A LIGHT ITALIAN PLY WOOD AND HAS A GLUED IN BACK.

Sound Quality : 10
I RUN THIS FRONT LOADED CAB WITH MY VH4-S HEAD AND PLAY WITH PAUL REED SMITH GUITARS(CUSTOM 24'S,SINGLECUT'S,HB'S ETC. I HAVE A RACK SWITCHING SYSTEM WITH VARIOUS PEDALS,ALL 3 LINE 6 PRO MODLERS, TC ELECTRONICS M2000 AND EMB WAH.
BASICALLY I HAVE FOUND MY SOUNDS! THIS IS THE BEST CAB EVER! I HAVE TRIED MARSHALL AND MESA CABS AND WHILE I LIKED MY RECTO TRADITIONAL CABS THEY BASICALLY FARTED OUT AFTER I GOT MY VH4-S.THE FRONT LOADED VERSION IS SAID TO BE BETTER FOR FOCUSED HIGH GAIN. THE DIEZEL MORE REFINED LIKE A FINE WINE. IT HAS A VERY TIGHT LOW END THAT WORKS THE BEST FOR HIGH GAIN TONES. THE MESA IS SLOPPY IN COMPARISON. ALSO THIS CAB HAS A MORE FOCUSED MID RANGE THAT IS VERY CUTTING IN A BAND MIX. THE HIGHS ARE VERY SMOTH AND BRIGHT BUT NOT BRITTLE. I AM CURIOUS TO SEE HOW THIS WILL SOUND WITH THE REAR LOADED CAB I WILL BE GETTING. IF YOU LIKE THE IDEA OF THE OVERUSED MESA CAB BUT WANT A TIGHTER LOW END AND A BETTER RESPONSE THIS IS YOUR CAB.

Reliability : 10
WELL SINCE THIS IS NOT A CHEAP CAB I WILL BE SURE TO TAKE IT OUT IN A FLIGHT CASE. IM PRETTY SURE I WILL NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT. IF I DO THE FOLKS AT SALWENDER ARE TOTALLY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. UWE IS ALWAYS SO NICE AND HELPFUL AND REALLY TAKES THE TIME TO MAKE SURE YOUR HAPPY. I WILL ASSUME THAT IT IS LIKE MY VH4-S AND A TANK.

Customer Support : 10
UWE SALWENDER IS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON ANYWHERE. I HAVE TALKED TO HIM TONS OF TIMES ABOUT ALL KINDS OF GEAR QUESTIONS I MAY HAVE. HE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO TAKE THE TIME TO TALK. IT'S GREAT WHEN YOU DEAL WITH THE MERCEDES BENZ OF AMP MAKERS BECAUSE THE CUSTOM SUPPORT IS AS AWSOME AS THE PRODUCT.

Overall Rating : 10
IF I PURCHASE ANOTHER CAB IT MIGHT BE A BOGNER SINCE THERE #2 ON THE LIST. THE DIEZEL KILLS THEM ALL! YOU CANNOT FIND A BETTER CAB. FOR MY TASTE IN A UNIQUE HIGH GAIN SOUND THAT LETS YOU STAND APART FROM THE HEARD THIS IS YOUR CAB.
I WILL BE WRITING A REVIEW FOR THE REAR LOADED VERSION IN A WHILE.

cabs are plain, but it has everything you could want (no roadies though)

Sound Quality : 9
thouroughly decent sounds, better than 99% of cabs. beats bogner and soldano. marshall isn't even in the same league.
however, for a cheaper cab with overall better tone and note definition i ended up buying the "traditional size" mesa recto 4x12. both are amazing cabs, however, the trad recto cab is more resiltient, instead of overwheliming "tight". it's a matter of taste, and i prefer the more organic sound. for a 7 string plaer, this is probably your cab. it was a close call, money not an issue, but the recto beat it for tone.

Reliability : No Opinion
i didn't buy it but i would say it looks pretty forminable

Customer Support : No Opinion
no clue

Overall Rating : 8
for the money, it better be good.
it is good, one of the best cabs of all time. however, more a more open tone, tryth e standard recto cab. for a similarly tight, but more responzive cab, the traditional recto 4x12 beats this one out in my opinion. but it is a matter of opinion, and go test them for yourself.
i'm a professional player, with years of gigging and session work. i know good tone.

I`ve bought it used as a complete halfstack with the VH4.

Straight 4x12" Diezel cab made in 1998
three inputs: 16 mono or 2 x 8 Ohm stereo - no switches, shorting jacks
dressed into blue leather
front loaded !

Sound Quality : 10
I changed the stock speakers (today they come with V30s - mine came with Eminence speakers, due to an order by the former customer) to the Uberschall-configuration:
2 V30s and 2 G75T by Celestion, X-Pattern
after a short break-in time for the V30s (the G75T were older ones), it sounds exactly how it should be: a bit of HiFi-ness from the G75Ts and the (now smooth) mid peak and cutting thru from the V30s

I`m using it with a 1976 Les Paul Custom and a Strat. In the loop there`s a Harmonizer (Rocktron) and a TC G-Major.

Reliability : 10
built like a tank - heavy as a tank

Customer Support : 10
excellent - have a look at my VH4 review

Overall Rating : 10
Excellent. It rocks every place - from the rehearsal room to the bigger stages.

Feel free to have a look at my website: www.thinlizzy.de

The cabinet is 2-3 years old, according to the guy who sold it to me. No serial number on it !
Basically its a standard 4x12" cabinet equipped with 4 * Vintage 30 (8Ohms). So you have 8 Ohms mono and 2 * 4 Ohms or 2 * 16Ohms (no marking on the terminal plate, just three jacks!) Stereo.
made of a special type of plywood with varying thicknesses of plies. covered in black tolex or similar. 8 black metal corners, only available in straight
comes with 4 screwable castors, which are lockable, so the thing stands almost as stable as if the castors were removed.
Bonus features: very stable, rattle-free construction (internal bracing unlike the simple wooden block seen inside standard Marshall or Mesa cabs), glued in backplane. removable speaker covering.

I wish it hat recessed handles and terminal plate like my cheapo Rathamp TW 412 (see review), no more scratches in your skin or in other cabinets or housings...But you just can't have anything.

Sound Quality : 10
I bought it because I played it some time ago in a shop, and heard of its extreme tightness while retaining fatness. I use it with my ENGL Savage 120 which is also a very fat while tight amp. this is the killer cabinet for this amp and modern guitar tones!!!!! the thing is so extremely tight! the special wood and bracing let higain tuned down riffs jump in your face. great. Due to the vintage30's the mids are fat, but not dominating. Smooth highend. Ideal for higain, blends out unpleasant distortion. there is no noise or rattling or s.t. else, just the tone !
I also like it for clean, crunch and especially for medium gain. Clean and crunch is great, but certainly an old Greenback cabinet would be even better.

Reliability : No Opinion
Seems to be built very rugged and solid. I've had this thing only for a few days so far, so no rating.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with. Diezel is a little company in germany which only consists of a few guys. one may have to wait long for repairs or new orders

Overall Rating : 9
This cabinet is probably the best out there. I think it is comparable to the ENGL cabinets, maybe a tad better. I bought it because of its reputation and I got a great deal.
regarding the looks I'd like to have had an ENGL cabinet, but who cares: it sounds terrific, and who knows, one time, I might be able to pay a Diezel VH-4 head.....
I'd give it a 10 if it had quickly removable castors and recessed handles/terminal plate.

16 Ohm mono input, 2x8 Ohm stereo input. Made of two types of solid wood. The front can be easily removed, what is a great feature when I'm recording. It's loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's. The standard color is black, but other colors are available.
It's about 35-40 Kgs I think. Not as heavy to carry as it sounds.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a les Paul, and this combined with the VH4 head is a cabinet worst nightmare. But the Diezel cabinet handles this extremely well. It doesn't rattle like my marshalls used to do. All low frequency are tight and fat produced.
Another thig about it is the good spread of the sound. You can hear it all over the stage, not just in front of it. It sound very balanced, not floppy or harsh.

Reliability : No Opinion
It can handled peaks of 300 Watts, so no need to worry.

Customer Support : 10
The best, period.

Overall Rating : 10
A lot of people focus on guitars and preamps when getting their sound because those things have more knobs, but the poweramp and speakers are a very important part of your sound. Keep all parts on the same level, you won't regret it.
If you have any questions, feel free to mail.
