This amp is great. Very versatile. 300watt stereo solid state power amp. It says Digitech and Hafler on the front so I assume it was a collaberative effort by the two companies. Perfect amount of power if you ask me. Two volume knobs and on presense know. Very basic and easy to use.

I am using a Jackson KingV with emg's, Digitech 2112 preamp, and a 412 cabinet with celestion speakers along with this power amp. Its great. I play lots heavy metal/progressive rock ie: Dream Theater, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Megadeth ect... This does a simply great job. I played the exact same setup minus the power amp through my Marshall LM 6100 all tube 100 watt head. And you know what? After I got this poweramp I sold my Marshall. I compared the two head-to-head and there was a difference in sound. Not as in a bad difference. Each just had its own characteristics. I actually liked the G300's tone a little better. The bottom end on this thing is awesome. I love it. Its also very quiet. People are making such a big deal about tube power amps. I really so just about no advantage of a tube power amp. I have owned a few tube amps including some rather expensive and well reknown marshalls. I haave been extremely disapointed in them. They are just NOT worth the money. And after you burn in a hole in your pocket buying the tubepower amp you will have to spend a lot more money replacing tubes. Now a tube preamp, thats a different story. I love my 2112 tube preamp.Back to the G300. So far the amp performs great at all volumes. I don't know if its my preamp or my poweramp but I like the sound of my distortions when its turned up a good portion.

I've had it for about 6 months and so far it seems solid as a rock.

Just a great power amp. It works great for me and I bet it will do great for you too. Why a 9? Because it is a tad heavy (not as heavy as tubes) and it takes up 3 rack spaces.
