I've always loved this little amp and I put her through hell. The sound isn't the greatest, but I could fiddle around and get some good sounds. It's not a Marshall or a fender so I'm not even going there, but it's impressive for under a hundred bones. I'd do it again ... IF I needed to for some reason. I used to hook up the pedal board to it, the amp modelers and when I used it for practice never really needed anything but JUST the amp itself to do what I needed. Nice little chunky distortion or you could back off the mids and hear a little meaness extrude from her. It WAS a great little amp.

I dragged this thang through hell and back for 4 years now and NEVER had 1 single issue and it still looks like it came out of the box yesterday, too! Probably THE most reliable thing I've ever owned. I used it for practice with my band 3-4 days a week and even gigged with it as a backup one night. I think it's MORE than worth it's weight in terms of reliability.

PFFT! Ninety bucks for this amp and you want me to fiddle with support? No thanks, but I never really needed them so I guess that's a good thing.

I have a friend that JUST bought his first electric and was talking about getting an amp, so I reached into my closet, pulled this little guy out and cranked it up for him and he was tickled to death and I tried to give it to him, but he forced 20 bucks on me for it. He'll enjoy it and probably for many years! Great little amp and I could always depend on her for whatever I needed! This is a great little starter amp. The reverb is decent, just don't go past the 4 mark and you'll hear the "verb". The distortion had a little hum if you cranked the volume or the gain past the halfway mark, but it wasn't anything to complain about, just a little hum. GREAT first amp, peeps!

I play everything from classical to rock. This amp will put it out. I think for the price you can't beat the sound. It has reverb which is not the best in the world, but definitly not the worst. It is limiting in power because unless you do mass adjustments on the knobs you don't hear a change.

For an amp under $100 i think it is perfect. I play rock, classical, country, and have sent my electric and acoustic and both produce amplified sounds that are good. I have even giggied with it before. It does seem to have a problem with the low strings it often limits you on the volume. I really don't use the distortion because i run an effects pedal. Handles pedals great.

I'm satisfied with it's performance. To have an amplified tone and have it sound decent this is your machine. Defnitly doesn't compare to higher brands, but you'd be suprised how close you can get.

For a cheap amp, it has fantastic reverb. The distortion is a bit naff, pure overdrive, but good if you want a very, very smooth sound. Tone knobs very useful.
Overall, a little plain though, I would like an amp with more shiney golden knobs for a little more control. It's more of a budget/ function amp, but for that it's amazing.

Okay, I don't understand people's problem with these amps. I'm a little afraid that I'm the only one that's had a good experience, and as soon as I add a new pedal it's all going to sound like crap.
To me, it sounds pretty good. Not incredible by any mesaure, but it's a decent amp. It goes very loud, and it gives a good tone. Be warned though, it's a little bassy. Perhaps very bassy. The tone knobs are very good though; you can get a good bass tone without making it to waterry. As I said, it's a bassy amp, so it's hard to get a great treble out of it, but I've never needed fantastic treble.
Fantastic for getting a Chili Peppers type sound, with a Yamaha Pacifica and no other pedals.
That said, some of the effects on my Zoom 606 sound pretty terrible, though that's a lot to do with two types of reverb. Still, it could process some a bit better. My Nobels Overdrive sounds great.
So try not to use Digital Effects with it if you can avoid it.
I'm still not sure how it will sound with my RAT, and the Moon Phaser I intend to get. I'll test it soon.
I'm giving it an 8 because some of my digital effects sound better on a 10 Watt Kustom amp. That could be the pedal though.
If you don't use a Zoom 606, probably best to up this to a 9.

Never had a single problem. Big solid amp. A little bigger than most 30 watts should be, but still. I honestly can't imagine it breaking, unlike my shitty 10/15 Watt amps which spawned some problems pretty damn quickly.
I think I may have had the occasional noise problem, but nothing major.
It gives a weird "shake" noise when you put it down, and sometimes puts a strange water tone on things for a while after doing so. I'm not sure what's causing it, it doesn't really affect anything after a second or two, but to be cautious I'll give it a 9.
So dont' knock it over on stage :P
I'm looking at you Matt Bellamy.

Not a great Amp, but it does me fine. Reading reviews has made me start to find flaws with it, which bothers me. I wish I knew what was wrong with Drive amps that people hate.
I'm giving it an 8, seems like a good score, perhaps deserves a 9.

30W Solid State Amp, Clean/Dirty switch, Bass, Mid, Treble & Presence Controls, 10" Speaker. Mine is the CD300-8G with DSP, but otherwise identical to the CD300R. Headphone plug, effects loop, footpedal plug. Single input. All the basics and light enough to lug around with no problem.

I use it mainly for hard rock & metal for which it does well. Bass is extremely strong though the treble is noticeably weak and muffled. Treble control seems to do very little, indicating either an amp with poor high frequency response or the speaker can't reproduce higher frequencies well. Amp is relatively quiet in clean, slightly noisy when you turn up presence controls. Amp throttles back the bass at high volumes. Distortion can be made very strong though its a tad indistinct.

Its new so I haven't given it much of a road test yet. It seems to be fine so far without any problems with the knobs or switches. Doesn't get too hot even under hard use. I opened up the back and found that the wires going to the 10" speaker are extremely small, like 18 or 22 gauge. I might change out the speaker to see if it makes the top end any clearer.

The company seems to be Korean, but the amps are made in mainland China. Doesn't inspire much confidence since Chinese goods tend to be substandard (Taiwan is a different matter).
I haven't had to get repairs yet, but the 1 year warranty is still in effect. They do have a real website www.driveamp.com

A pretty decent amp if you don't mind Communists making your equipment. High end frequency response is disappointing, everything else is fine. Fit and finish is pretty good, styling is pretty basic.
Drive sells these at ridiculously cheap prices so a beginner can save some money.

It sounds loudly enough for the price you pay. It has distortion, reverb, three equalizers (treble, middle, bass) and 2 channels. You can put a footswitch and headphones.

I play a lot of heavy metal and it sounds great with distortion pedals. For example, the MT-2,Boss Metalzone or others. But the distortion that come with the amp is quite good, not powerful. If you play groups like Metallica, is not good because the palm mutes doesn't sound.

The amplifier is good maybe for beginners. Personally, it was my first amplifier. If it were stolen, I would think in buying another. When I move the amp, it sounds a very ugly sound, I think that is the reverb. But anyway is quite good.
