For a vintage amp reproduction unit, this has all the features I need. Effects send-return, normal-boost switch plus lead channel. Volume and Gain to provide built-in clean or warm distortion. Bass-Mid-Treble EQ for vintage tone shaping. Footswitch controls. 65 RMS watts. Built like a tank.

I own both the 65 Watt and 120 Watt versions, each sound equally good, and the 120 Watt version has a bit more clean volume.

Sound Quality : 9
Blues, Rock, Country, Jazz ... solid and hollowbody guitars all sound equally good through this amp.

The accutronics spring reverb tank is full sized and very warm and organic sounding, just like vintage tube amps of the past.

Low noise, suitable for home practice and studio recording, loud enough for gigging, and the outputs allow you to add your effects units (POD, Pandora, V-Amp) or drive a PA for more stage volume.

The emminence speaker sounds very vintage as well, clean and articulate, with a warm-round tone.

For the price ($150 used) I'll rate this a 10, for absolute sound quality, I would have to say I have auditioned $2,000 fender tube reissue amps that sound a bit better, so I'll give this amp a 9. It's a keeper.

Reliability : 10
I have used this amp for recording and gigging (blues, jazz) for over 3 years, and had no trouble.

Customer Support : No Opinion
If I could find another used amp for $150, I would just buy a spare.

I think my warranty is 5 years, but I have never had to check the paperwork.

Overall Rating : 10
The only thing I changed was replacing the "Drive" logo with a leather-embossed artwork, for a touch of class. The black and brown "logo" adds a touch of class, making the amp look like a custom made tube relic.

Every once it a while I run across something that really suprises me. This amp is one of those things. I ordered it mainly because of the retro looks. I didn't expect it would be all that good. Man, was I wrong! This is a great amp! It puts out a lot of volume. The clean channel is really awesome. It reminds me of an old Fender Harvard amp my dad use to own. The distortion is nice but I have several pedals that I also use.

Reliability : No Opinion
I really can't comment about the reliability. It's new! It seems to be made very well. It doesn't look cheap. I would expect that it will last a long time. Usually they either work or they don't when you take them out of the box. This one works great. It does come with a 5 year warranty.

Customer Support : No Opinion
5 year warranty. I guess that speaks well of the company. According to the warranty card they are located in California.

Overall Rating : 10
For the amount of money I spent for this amp I am really thrilled with it. I bought it for the looks but ended up with an amp that also sounds great. I would say that it is every bit as good as the Peavey amp that I had before this one. I've been playing for 9 years. I also own an American made Tele, an Epiphone Casino and a Takamine acoustic/electric.

The Drive G65VR Vintage Guitar Combo features retro looks, 65 watts of power, reverb a 12" Eminence speaker, clean and lead channels, boost switch, 3-band EQ,etc...
The amp does have channel switching ability. It get very loud!

Sound Quality : 9
This is a great amp for just about any type of music. I use it mainly for blues and rock. As mentioned about it can get very loud. The clean channel is really great. It also has a distortion setting that's pretty good.

Reliability : 10
This amp is built like a tank! I see no reason why it shouldn't last for years with no problems. The cabinet is great looking.

I have never had to deal with this company. They do have a website however.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for over 40 years. I've owned many amps over that period of time. I must say that this amp sounds as good as Fender amps that I have owned. I don't see how they can produce and sell an amp this good at such a low price. They must be a non-profit organization! The vintage/retro looks of this amp are just awesome. The good thing is that it has the tone and sound to match the great looks! I don't know much about the other Drive products but I can say that this one is a winner!
