use it with the dynacord b90-bassbox wich is designed for it.
full rich bass sound, but not very loud. when turned up there is a cool fuzzy overdrive. play it with a cool japanese Jazzbass. it's not very loud compared to the fender twin its used with/against.

with guitar very cool overdrive, 60 garage.

Reliability : 10
its from 1967 and it works well, has also the tubes from this time. just clean them or the burning dust wil smell bad.

Head only. Played it through 2-10 openback w/Eminence Alnico's
Front:Two inputs(1/4"), vol.,bass and treb., power, standby switches
Back: 8, 8, and 16 ohm speaker outs, selectable mains voltage, 2 prong modular cord, DIN (mic?) input, fuses...
Very basic. Control pots work smooth, no jumps noticed. There may be a difference between the two input jacks... one sounds a little lower- gain. Came with 2 EL34 output tubes and a 12AT7...yes, one. I went searching for a schematic and it is indeed in one of Aspen Pittman's (Groove Tubes) books. My tech guy has it, and he said on the phone that the first gain stages are transistor. Half of the 12AT7 is then a final gain stage, and the other half is the phase inverter. So there are transistors in it... but it's not that much different from putting transistorized pedals in front of your tube amp. This makes sense with my first approximation - at least two preamp tubes are needed for standard all-tube amplification. No modifications have been done. Also, the addition of the "T" to the name is a clue.
Nice lighted plexi front, and interesting chassis layout - compact design, but plenty of airflow for the tubes. Looks like it'll be a pig to service, though. Big transformers. Probably late 60's. Don't know yet if it'll be a low-vol. bass amp, or used for harp or guitar... more playing time is needed, but not 'til it has a grounded power cord. Too risky!
BTW, the plastic grilles top and bottom are removed by inserting a pointy thing into the round hole of the 3 metal clips underneath one edge and pulling them back - then pull that edge up. Good idea once you figure it out, as it allows the tubes to be easily changed.

I will file another report for this after I've played it more... but with guitar it sounded decent, plenty of low end, and clean highs. Nice tubey sound. It'll break up if you push it, even with single coils, but it's getting loud at that point. Harp sounded okay - might be worth connecting to the rear input to see if it breaks up more. It's got a fair bit of noise, but then the filter and coupling caps are probably toast from sitting for literally decades with no charge. I play blues, some rock, BTW. The test guitar was a '76 Fender Musicmaster with a Dimarzio VV'54 pup, and the harp was a special 20 with an SM58 and impedance matcher.

Reliability : No Opinion
Too soon to tell - but it looks solid, and anything that will power up and play after at least 15 years of sitting in a basement can't be too shoddy. Very well built.

Customer Support : No Opinion
N/A - haven't tried.

Got it from our keyboard player, who used it back in the day... he's somewhat over 50 now. He knows I like to tinker, so gave me this and some other odds and sods that were kicking around. He rocks.
I've been learning my way around tube amps, mostly with old Traynor gear, which is excellent. This is probably as powerful as my '74 Bassmaster, but much more compact... if I can tame the buzz I may use it for bass on low-vol folk gigs, or lend it to the gear-challenged harp/rhythm guitar player in our blues band. I have a Reverend Hellhound for playing guitar live, so I doubt I'll be using the Dynacord for that... but it would probably be plenty loud and good sounding with the right cabinet and maybe an OD pedal.
If it were lost, I'd be sad. If it were stolen, I'd go hunting... why let them come back for more?

The amp was made between 55 and 61,
2x 8 ohm speaker, 1x 6 ohm speaker.
2 channels, 1x volume, 1x bass, 1x treble
one small tube for the pre-amb (the other submission with a transistor pre-amp is NOT original)
2 tubes will give about 50watt, enough power for normal use.

Sound Quality : 8
i use it with a very modern active Ibanez ergodyne.
Sounds great with the volume at3/4 and tone at eleven oclock
A very warm sound!
some noise....

Never broke up!

I have no idea when it was made, but judging from the other reviews here it was earlier because it has a single ECC81 pre-amp tube and two El 34 power tubes. On the Front, this model has Volume Treble and Bass controls, Power and Standby push buttons and a 1/4" input on each side of the front. It's gray plastic, lights up in front when its on. Real compact. On the back it has two 8ohm and one 16ohm input jacks, a switch to convert to European AC power supply, a 5-pin DIN jack. Huge paper wound transformers!

Sound Quality : 9
I use it as a bass head with a 15" 300W Eminence spkr in a handmade Theile Cab. I play a bass with Seymour Duncan P pickup and a Dimarzio J pickup. Theyre both humbucking so that's quiet. The lower the volume the more sensitive the tone controls. To crank I roll the tones back to 10 am and the volume up. But the EL34's break up too much so I think I'll rebias and put in a set of Svetlana 6550's. I'll see if that stays cleaner. It's surprisingly quiet considering there is no grounded plug to the wall. For a 50-70W bass head, it keeps up with two drummers and a few electric guitars fine.

Reliability : 9
It's a brick shithouse! Really clean when I bought it, it needed a bit of spray on the pots and sounds great. I go w/o backup all the time. So portable!

Customer Support : 10
I bought it used from the original owner. The schematic is in one of Groove Tubes books, but I wrote the company first and they mailed me the diagrams! It's all in German though, of course. Dynacord is now into major high end studio equipment etc. I couldn't ask for more as the simple wiring inside should be no problem for a decent tech to take care of.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for years and years as a hobbyist. Before this I had a huge solid state Lab Series head. I also have a huge, heavy Traynor head but that stays inside. I have a bunch of little tube amps and homemade electric guitars. I buy and sell them when I get bored of them or see something else to try. I'd replace this if necessary but I wouldn't go out of my way. There's all kinds of funky old tube stuff out there coming up at second hand shops. This whole "rare and expensive" tube amp stuff is such a crock of shit! Dudes tryna drive up their prices! Look around they're everywhere for reasonable prices and with great tone. At least up here in Canada anyway. Recycle!

Sorry, I don't leave an address. I did once and got tons of junk email.

Small Bass Amp top with different models. (mine has only the controls BASS, TEREBLE, VOLUME.) Different housings, too. (wood/venyle for on stage, palstic for studio). Has TRANSISTOR preamp with two inputs and 2 X EL34 tupe poweramp. (50W) Comes from somewhere in the 70's. Typically DYNACORD design with fully lighned plexglass front.

Sound Quality : 4
Sounds dull and muffled because of the strange TRANSISTOR preamp. When it's turned up too loud it starts fuzzing (funny). It sounds how amps have had to sound in the 70's. It's a classic (vintage?) amp in Germany. Don't know why...

Reliability : 9
Nearly 100% reliability. (German construction!) No noise. Break down once; I played with max power over an hour and one of the old tubes broke...

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never hve tried to get support...

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Funny small bassamp which needs big loudspeakers to sound good. I use it as HOME model.
