Old 1964 model, with " mixable inputs",treble, bass and master volume. When I bought it, there was a lot of work to be done and as the metal case was'nt in good shape, I decided to make it useful as back up amp, better than to keep it "vintage" However it's a vintage amp. First replaced all potentiometers, capacitors and the ugly "Din" connectors. I left channels 1 & 3 intact, and added a 300 pf capacitor as a bright on channel 2. I use it with guitars & not wiyh basses! Also added 4 and 8 ohms on top of the 16 ohm original output. So I can use it with different speaker cabinets.

Sound Quality : 10
Used mainly with 2 strats and a Washburn J6 full hollowbody, connected to a Boss flanger, Arion phaser, Morley volume pedal and 2 Danelectro Dan-echo, to get rippling echoes, the amp and a 2 x 15" cabinet with Fanes inside, this bass amp gives marvellous sounds with my guitars. You should know that my reference on sound is an old 1967 Vox AC 30 TB, a freind of mine is using.

Reliability : 10
After replacing what's described here above, plus 3 x ECC 83(ruby tubes) and 2 EL 34(Plilips Miniwatt, yes I still had 2 left from the sixties), I only had to reopen it to pass the vacuum cleaner. I bought it 3 years ago Since then No problems.

No idea. When I got it, it was with the manual and the schematic diagram. This is enough for me.

Overall Rating : 10
This amp has been abused before I got it but since then, it's a dream to play with it. If it was stolen, I would look immeadiately for another one. Sound is so sweet and powerful, even compared to that old AC 30 I mentionned before. I love the simplicity of the schematic diagram, what could go wrong with this amp? Tranformers are so overdesinged, they even don't get hot after 3 hours playing. And spares are still available!!!!!!!!!!!!!a

This full tube amp head was build by Dynacord between 1964 and 1967. The housing is a compact metal box with a silver colored front plate. Three input channels, each with its own volume control. One channel with standard plug for (bass-) guitar and two channels with DIN plugs for microphones, guitars or tape echo unit. The sensitivity of the DIN channels can be selected ?high? or ?low? by using the appropriate pin connection. Master volume, treble and bass control in common for all three channels. No standby-switch, quick power off/on switching should be avoided to save tubes and fuses.

The input for the (bass-) guitar has a special filter characteristic, giving low and high frequencies more amplification. Two outputs in parallel, realized as 4 mm banana plugs, supply an output power of 40 Watt R.M.S. into 16 Ohm cabs.

The construction and wiring of the amp is straight and ruggedized. Very simple and reliable design with three ECC83 and two EL34 tubes.

Using the bass-guitar input gives a fascinating warm and rich ?vintage? sound?. Playing guitar over the DIN inputs results in a dump sound like playing directly into the PA, so I never use them. The control possibilities are not great, but good enough to play the 60?s sound or to use the amp for practising.

Sound Quality : 10
I use this amp with a Fender Strat, standard pickups and an Echolette 1x12? or Dynacord 2x12? vintage cab. The sound is warm and bright, I do not use any additional effects with it. When cranking it results in the typical tube distorted sound of the 60?s. What I appreciate with the sound is the absence of noise (no transistor pre-stages like later Dynacord Bassking 1T or Favorit).

Reliability : 9
When I got this amp, it was humming and the control pots made a lot of noise. I cleaned the PCB and the pots carefully, changed all trim pots and re-biased the power tubes. After that, it worked fine without any problems (maybe I will catch another one for backup).

I wrote to EVI Audio, and they send me the circuit diagram at once.
Spare parts are no longer available, but most of the electronics components can be bought from well-sorted dealers. One of the original grey control knobs is missing (if somebody has one as a spare, please let me know).

Overall Rating : 9
I play guitar for a lot of years, but far away from being a perfect player. Compared to other Dynacord vintage amps like Favorit 1 and Bassking 1T I prefer this one due to the brilliant sound and nice distortion. The features of this amp are reduced to the basics, and therefore I like it. When lost, I would do my best to hunt down another one. Due to its age, it could be useful to have a good amp doctor in the environment or to own a second one for backup. Would like to compare the sound to an Echolette BS40 or Showstar.

I only use it as bass amp so I don't know about the other inputs.
I got it for free and repaired it. It musy be antique because I was a child when I first took one apart..and never got it together again.....

Sound Quality : 10
I use a Squire jazzbass body and precision neck which was unfretted by RICHARD SINCLAIR, an amazing basspayer, songwriter and singer from Canterbury, England (Caravan,Hatfield,Camel). Standard pick-ups. Of course I play a bit like him and a bit like Pastorius and I have a fabulous sound through this amp. Power is sufficient for small gigs and rehearsels. It has more Thumbpff than any trans. amp I ever used but if it could go louder I would be very happy even more. If I play it loud it gives distortion of a very usable kind. After Richard made me this bass I never touched my Fender vintage bassguitar again....

Reliability : 10
very reliable sofar. If I get to close it hums a little

I needed the diagram and I ordered it through the Dutch distibutor Electric Sound and two days later it came in an envelope. Good service indeed.

Full tube 50 W bass amp with three inputs; Volume, Treble and Bass Controls. Comes in a metal box and is very small for amps of its kind. (must be 60's) Ancestor of Bass King T <http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data/Dynacord/Bass-King-T-01.html>, but VERY MUCH better sounding!

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds incredible good! Has really big BANG for a 50W amp. I use it as BASS amp, but it is also great for guitar and organ. Amplifies high input peaks GREAT! (not like many gain controlled solid state amps) I use it with a 4X10 speakers box. Great bass AND high tones.

Reliability : 5
Did great job on practise as well on stage. No problems yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never hve tried to get support...

Overall Rating : 10
This amp is a great amp for playing it on stage in small clubs or with PA on bigger stages! It's very small and so very transportable. If you look at it and you hear it, you will say "That's not THAT little amp...?" Really Big BANG! I prefer it more than many other high tech amps.

Incredibly cuite german ingeneering.Ive been playing it thru a 15" EV and used quite alot. Power enough for small club's.Documented 50 watt output power (RMS Sinus wave). changable output impedans from 4 to 16 oms (you'll have to open it) I let it have an extra capacitor in the power supply and new power tubes.($ 120 service)

Reliability : 10

It's been fore sale at my dealer for a couple of week's at 2500 swedish kronor (ca $ 300 US) cause I bought a dynacord BA 300 (280 Watts tube /trans pre-amp 80's thing with four EL-34 at almost 800 volt's... ) for moore power.Wouldn't sell it if it wasn't for the money .
