German-built Dynacord K-50 Favorit I Combo which probably dates to the early 70's. It's very heavy and upright-standing with tilt legs. It is a 4-channel hybrid amp that uses transistor preamps combined with a tube output section. I sold it (baad move) in '96 so I don't remember clearly, but I think it uses a pair of EL-34's and an ECC-81/12AT7 phase inverter/driver. It has Tele and DIN inputs/outputs on the front and rear panels. Each of the four input channels has concentric gain and EQ controls, and there is also a master section in the center along with a level meter.
There are (at least) two 1/4" speaker output jacks, and I see, to remember it being switchable to drive 4, 8, 16 ohm loads (not sure, but maybe it also had a 100v line carrier output).

Sound Quality : 6
I used it mostly with a single humbucker 80's jap strat. The guitar playing was loud and fat with lots of dynamics and this amp did a good (although strange) job of it. Sometimes I used it with a pair of open-back Celestion 12" 30w boxes, sometimes by itself. I didn't always use pedals, but a Yamaha Tone Booster TB-01 (also impossible to find these days.. mail me if you wanna sell one) helped a lot to add brightness and punch to the humbucker and transistor pre. For distortion I used a 70's Big Muff and a Boss Blues Driver. Now, without the pedals, I could bring the amp to distort, and man, talk about crazy distortion.. Not always useful, but sometimes fun. The sound would choke out completely as soon as I didn't play, making it sound a bit like a Twin with dying valves - say, a bit like the guitar sound of early Gang of Four. Clean sounds were good if I added a little Tone Booster to it. The output valves would start to sing if I played loud enough. Nice! This is not by any means a slick, nice sounding amp. It's a strange animal, not useful for all playing styles, but still, I liked it. It had soul. How stupid was i to sell it. Can't find one anywhere.. As if it never existed.

Reliability : 10
Always worked fine and seemed to be able to withstand extremely low impedance (I used it with the build in 12" Dynacord 16 ohm and two 12" Celestion 8 ohm's, and sometimes added a Selmer 18" 4 ohm.. This would be death for most amps.. But this one didn't stutter - well, it did, but it never broke, just sounded lovely crazy when I did this :)

I like excentric things, and this was a way excentric amp. Just added it to the database here 'coz it wasn't here at all.
