Very compact 1x12 combo, low weight, very versatile for gigging.
Mine was mid 80's product, transistor preamp, send-return, 50 watt tube power stage with 2 EL34, reverb, overdrive, footswitch.
This amp is estetically a kind of mesa mark 1 clone with same controls + reverb and 6 band graphic EQ.
60 watt 12" unnamed speaker.

The distortion is very fuzzy and transistor type, so I don't like the overdrive channel at all.
Cleans channel was a lot better but "dirty" (not crunch, only dirty/farting), too undefined for distortion pedals, so I change the two old EL34s with 6L6GCs with new bias circuitry.
Now the amp has a very good fender cleans, using it with master volume at 10 and preamp to 3/4, the sound is very clear and warm as a real american vintage amp of 60's (old ampegs and fenders), with a very nice spring reverb, supporting massive distortion (& various) pedals without problems.
I thought that can be very very good for pop, blues, rockabilly, jazz and 60's rock and anything more with some effects.
The speaker sounds very close to the chicago 12-70 jensens, warm mids and top, nice bass.
This amp does not have a real distortion but with 6L6's give it a fantastic cleans, so I give 7 considering 5 with el34s (original) and 9 with 6L6s after the mod...

Never broken, only serviced with new tubes and new bias cicuit to mount these, the circuit board is fat solid.
The wood box is not a rock (poor birch) but very light to gig.

I don't know when the elk company dies out and there's no schematics on the web, I mod it using some mine tricks.

I play hard rock and I need crunch, this amp does not have it at all so I sell it, but who likes fenders or mesa mark 1 cleans can find in this combo a very good thing, adding two 6L6 tubes, with a very low price.
