Black, single handle, Eminence 121, used maple and mahogany woods. Inside there are top of the line speaker wires and connections used that I am sure enhance the sound.

I play jazz, blues. I use a modifed Fender Bassman,a Dr. Z Maz 38, and a Crate VCH50 head with this cabinet. I like using a head with a cabinent instead of a combo. To my ears, they sound better than a combo and have more headroom. Using this rig is simple and portable, plenty loud enough for many settings. Clear as a bell. I use semi-hollow guitars - Robin Savoy and Epi Sheraton Elitist - and this rig fattens up the sound nicely. I think I can emulate an archtop fairly closely without feedback and get crunchy and loud if I want. What's not to love???

I have bought three cabinets from Tim! One Buzz Bomb with a Screamin Eagle and a Texas Heat inside. This 1 x 12, and I am proud to say that I have a 2 x 10 on the way with Rajun Cajun and Copperhead inside.
I will never, I repeat, never, buy a cabinet from anyone else! I don't know how Tim gets the big sound out all of his cabinets. He's a great guy who loves what he's doing and he produces the absolute best cabinet that I have ever heard! Period. These are the best. Well made, great sound, reasonably priced.
I have bought more equipment over the years than I can possibly list - ask my wife - LOL. I know quality when I find it. Just call Tim and tell him what sound you want and he will work with you to get your perfect cabinet. He knows more about this than any sane person should! (That's a compliment)

See above. I would defintely replace any of them. I have A/B'd them with other cabinets. My son, who plays rock, has done the same thing using Marshall Heads through the 2 x 12 and now my 2 x 12 is a permanent part of his rig! You know how that goes! His 4 x 12 by another manufacturer is now collecting dust!

I placed my order directly with the owner Tim...great guy and very helpful in building the perfect cab for my individual needs. It's nice to actually deal with a small company/owner who makes you part of the process and values you as a customer...very rare these days.

I have been playing guitar and buying gear since 1974 and have made a living in the music bizz for the last 20 years. I own over 30 guitars and a dozen amps and I am pretty hard to please...I can honestly say that Tim and Earcandy offer the best service and value I have come across in many years.

110% handmade in the USA. Delivered to me in June 2004. I play straight-ahead jazz, and after reading all the other articles and researching the professionals' rigs, I thought the only cab to use was the Raezer's Edge Stealth 12. I made a trip to try one out, and was surprised to find that the sound was nothing special, and that the build quality was nothing more than average. That same day I found out about Tim over at EarCandy, and I put an order in. I asked for a closed-back, ported cab with a single, 12" high-wattage capable speaker. Tim delivered precisely what I asked for. A beautiful black naugahyde skin covers the outside. Its softer to the touch than Fender's tolex, but seems to hold up a lot better. I specified black hardware all around, with a strap handle on top. Maple was used all around. Since the depth dimension of the cabinet changes depending on how you have it constructed, I asked to have it built with the speaker on the the deep side. This gives just a little more room for my head on top. I wound up getting the Silverbell Custom grille cloth option. In my opinion, this is the only cloth to get from EarCandy. The pictures don't do the thing justice. Its gorgeous, and it fits perfectly in the front of the cab. The locking jack in the back is a dream-come- true. All in all, this thing beats every other cab I've seen to hell, and we're talking about Mesas, Raezer's Edge, and the like.

Like I said earlier, I play jazz, and jazzy jam-type stuff (think Sound Tribe). I was a archtop fiend for awhile but traded in jazzbox bulk and feedback for semi-hollow bliss. Right before I sold my archtop, however, I played it through the new EarCandy cab, and the closed-back does reduce feedback. . . just not enough. This cab perfectly delivers that elusive chimey jazz tone. The closed back + ports make for smooth, smooth, smooth bass; you have to hear it to believe it. I play an Acoustic Image Clarus that makes 120 watts into 8 ohms, and I've run it wide open into this thing, and it just keeps honkin'. Mine has the Eminence Legend 121 installed; tons of headroom, great full-spectrum clean machine. While I wanted a rig that never breaks up on its own, pedals make it growl nicely. Tubescreamers, Blues Drivers, run what you brung, this thing will spank. But, like I said, I wanted clean, and this is as clean as it gets. THANKS TIM!

The locking jack in the back will save you a ton of headaches. As long as you get a metal grille or tight grille cloth, I wouldn't worry about a thing. Honestly, I don't think you could kill this thing with a hatchet.

Tim is the man! I switched some options a few days after the order, and he was happy to do what he could keep me happy. Best customer support yet. Keep up the good work, guys.

I play a PRS Hollowbody spruce though an AI Clarus 1R head. If this were stolen, I would get right on the phone to Tim to get another one in the works. It took him 3 weeks to deliver my dream cab, with all the bells and whistles, for $250 less than what a Raezer's Edge would have cost. You can't beat that! Totally custom, exactly what I wanted, tremendous value, and a nice fellow putting it together. I couldn't be happier.
