This review is for a pair of Earcandy Green Machine Speakers. I just had these custom made for me. They were ordered in May. I put these into a 6505 combo. 2 8 ohm speakers wired to 16 ohms total. 125 watts each. Not sure what more you could really look for in a speaker.

I will start out by saying that these are a HUGE step up from the stock 6505 speakers. Great tone coming from these. Very crisp and clear and good for any type of music. I play mostly metal through them, and it sounds GREAT. Cleans come out much better as well. When cranking out some chugga chugga metal rhythms, the low end doesnt crap out. The hi end is nice and smooth, not shrill or ice picky, and the mids are very present, not overly so, not understated, but right where they should be. Overall I think these are pretty great speakers.

If these were stolen, I would probably replace them, but I might try out some Celestion G12K-100s first. I have heard great things about those speakers, and they cost about the same as the Earcandys. I cannot say that these are the best speakers out there, as I have not tried some other speaker that I have my eyes on, however, these do rank up at the top. Better than the legendary V30, better than most Eminence and Celestion speakers, I would say. The only other speakers that I have my eye on to give a fair shot are the Celestion G12K-100s. Other than that, I say these speaker dominate most others. I chose these solely based on reviews and word of mouth. I heard about the Celestions after I had bought these, so I may have went with those first, not sure though. I love how they just make my guitar sound so much more crisp and clear. Clarity is much greater than that of the stock speakers, for sure.
