Custom built mahogany, closed back, 1x12 dual ported speaker cabinet. Excellent looking and feeling black naugahyde covering, hand rubbed back and speaker panel with thick laquer finish, paralel inputs, protective inner grill and removeable cloth grill to match Fender amps, and two handles.

I've got a Weber 12V AlNiCo speaker in the cab, and power it with my modified Hot Rod Deville. I play two Am Strats and a vintage Tele. This combo of speaker and cabinet sounds amazing. The creamyness is sweet and thick, yet always defined and clear with tons of sustain. It sounds incredible when I run it with the Deville's four P10R's, but it sounds great by it's self too. Lots of volume and BIG bass response. The overall tone is very smooth and woody, with a lot of sustain and character. Touch sensitive for sure. Many different tones can easily be had by changing your picking method alone. It's hard to get any bad sounds out of the whole combo now.

Looks to be built like a rock, but I just got it.

Tim is certainly a stand up guy. My order was filled promptly and I was in contact with them concerning details constantly. The Weber speaker I had for this cab was bigger than normal. When I got the cab, it wouldn't fit. They offered to replace the cab completely and take care of everything. I just removed a couple of pieces of trim and shaved the ports a little. It looks and fits great now, and Tim is sending me a couple of replacement trim pieces that will work with my speaker.

EarCandy cabs are definitely a great buy! I searched for a while before I contracted this cabinet from them. They offer a ton of really cool options and still have very reasonable prices. I'm totally happy with my experience with Tim and would certainly purchase another cab from them in the future.

The Ulysses is a 1x12", birch ply structure, front dual ported, closed back design. (although open and partial back designs are also available). My particular cabinet has an EVM-12L 200 watt speaker installed from the front. Dimensions are approx. (16x15x17). The cabinet is ox-blood red "tolex", with black hardware. It has a locking single input (although EarCandy can install a variety of inputs), dual inset "bar" handles on the top edges, strong solid corner protectors, heavy duty rubber feet. Looks great, very tight build, solid. The big fat bar handles makes is a dream to carry around. It's size really allows it to be put in a variety of places on stage.

I love the sound.....and it can be varied by speaker choice and back/port design. The closed back, dual front port gives a bit stronger bass reinforcement in my opinion which can be dialed up or down through the amp tone controls. The overall balance is excellent.

Looks and feels real solid and has handled everything I've thrown at it so far. I play mostly R&B, but also ZZToP, Hendrix, etc. After I've bashed it around for a bit I'll report back.....but I'd hate to think of what I'd have to do to damage it.

I'm using this cabinet as part of a stereo/mono set up for my Vetta Head. My principle guitar is a Zion Bent T strat. I've been playing for nearly 40 years as a amateur and have primarily used Fender, Mesa, and recently, Line 6.
For someone who wants a completely custom cabinet, including speaker, OR, if you have a killer speaker and need a top notch, state-of-the art cabinet delivered to your home.....these guys ROCK. Why buy something used or beat-up on ebay when EarCandy will build one for you custom for about the same. Check out a used mesa cabinet (if you can find one) then contact EarCandy. You'll see.
