Everything one could want in an amp. 100 watts, 3 modules of your choice, the best tube parralell loop I ever heard, a serial loop, and presence and bass for the the power section. Then the best thing ever to happen to an amp... Each power tube has its own fuse and blow light and self biasing feauture so all you need yes all you need is a little flat screwdriver and your biasing your amp whenever you want. It also can accept just about every power tube so you can imagine the endless ways to change this amp for a different tone. Its simply the most awesome amp head ever created. It was made so as players (like we all do ) you dont have to sell it and get something else. You can change the power tubes at will even mix and match them in pairs(just bias correctly) and also change modules which Bruce has many to choose from. I figure if 6 months I get sick of say one module I can just call them up and they will take it back if in good condition and for a fair and small price ( I believe $150.00 ) they will send you another. How cool is that. We all have GAS and we all change but this amp will change with you without selling it. Its like the worlds fist all tube no DSP amp that can change like a cameleon. At least from what I have had in the past.

Ok I bought the head and use it through two 1960 TV marshall cabs with each cab with a x pattern of 25 watt greenbacks and G12H 30 greenbacks. They make a matching cab but I had a Marshall deal so I used thier cabs otherwise I would by the matching one.

The amp comes stock with Swelvanta 34's and EH preamp tubes.

I have settled on the superlead, superlead ++ and the egnater 3

I decided to turn this amp into a gain monster instead of having a twin marshall and say recto kind of set up. I figure I use my volume on my guitar for a cleaner sound and this amp cleans up well. I dont need say a funk clean tone.

superlead -
Better than any superlead I ever had and I had a lot. Its so sweet and has a voicing switch for a more plexi voicing but I like the thicker sound so I crank the gain and leave the voicing out and its like fat fat fat fat marshall vintage style. Turn the gain down a bit and use a fuzz and you got serious vintage tone and never buzzy and fuzzy real nice like the best superlead you ever could have

superlead ++
They make a superlead + but I could use the ++ and just use less gain if I wanted for the same tone. This amp is like Halen early marshall tones and as you increase the gain you get to more like VH woman and children and so on. But make no mistake it can also get heavy to be like say Like a superlead modded with 2 extra gain stages but not modern and recto sounding just pure marshall roar! I love this module.

egnater 3 -
Its like a smoother marshall. It can do low to fairly high gain and somewhere between the superlead and the ++. Its more less like a brown marshall in a way and killer voiced. I may purchase an extra module like the egnater high gain module which I hear is like a croos between a ++ and a recto. I laso hear the eg4 is the same with one more gain stage. He doesnt make a bad sounding module.

Next amp I get , yup another egg head with say KT 66 tubes and a bassman, atwin and say a jtm 45 so I can have a high gain head and a cleaner head of the best tones availble. Sure beats dragging around multiple heads and also the loop with delay is yes as good as when I slaved the amp and ran the delay through a power amp. I was blown away and I rather crank this amp up then to run it lower and have a slave amp on low as well. You'll never believe the loop quality!

Reliability : No Opinion
So far no issues...

Top Notch! Frank and Bruce will take care of you and always try to please. They even give you like a week or so after you get the amp to exchange for free any module for another so you are happy with the amp. After that of course like I mentioned above you can pay a small fee and exchange it anytime after that.

Overall Rating : 10
Sure it aint cheap but its cheaper than some and has a hands on built quality to it and they dont make it cheap to save money. Its built like a tank and is worth every dime. For three amps of you choice (not channels) what would it cost you to do that ? Killer amp!!!!
