2006 MOD 100. This head holds 3 amp modules with 2 channels (clean/boost) per module. The most versatile tube amp made right now. Can cover any style you play, since the modules are designed to sound like the most popular amps ever made.
Mine had reverb, which was a special order - don't think Bruce will do that again, it was very difficult for him. Each module has a master volume and gain with bass, mid and treble EQ. The module have a bass and bright switch as well. On the back are a Serial and parallel effects loop and MIDI channel switching for easy programing and quick channel changing. Also it's the easiest tube amp to bias. You can easily do it yourself. Can accept El34, 6L6, 6V6 and you can also mix EL34's and 6L6's. Mine has 6L6's.

All the sounds are great and come very close to what amps they are trying to emulate. It's all there, and depending on what modules you buy, you can make the cleanest or the most brutal sounds you want and everthing in between.
This thing will not distort at high volume if that's what you want. The headroom is great on the clean tones. The modules I current have are:
T/D - the Fender Twin and Deluxe. Beautiful cleans from the Twin and nice country like bark from the Deluxe side.
VX - Vox module. Very jangly and rich, can make a nice edge of breakup sound and a Brian May type distortion for leads.
Bman - Fender Bassman. Fat Bluebreaker or early Plexi type sound when distorted and big cleans with fat bottom end when not pushed.
SL2 - JCM 800. A good, hot rodded Marshall of the 80's. Not buzzy, just right.
I play strats with humbuckers and single coils. This amp loves both. I play a wide variety of music and I haven't found a sound that I couldn't come close to using this mix of modules that I have. It's very quiet except for in very high gain settings which isn't unusual. I don't even use my noise gate with this thing. Most of the time when I not playing all you hear is the fan.

I've only had the amp about 7 months so we'll see how tough she is. Just by looking at it though, it looks like it could withstand a nuclear explosion.

This company treats you like one of the family. I've talked to Bruce Egnater many times on the phone and he's even called me at my office. His partner Frank Lemar is equally great to talk to. If you have a question about one of their products they will take the time to explain it to you. They have a nice relaxed way about them and never seem rushed to get you off the phone. The best I've even dealt with.

I've been playing for about 30 years. I play a Eric Johnson Strat, a Strat Ultra, and a Charvel Model 4. My backup amp is a Mesa Boogie Mark IV which I thought was amazing until I played the Egnater. I would definitely buy an Egnater again. My next purchase will probably be their MOD 50 or another module.
If you need versatility and real tube tones, this is it. Forget your digital stuff, bite the bullet and get this thing. They're products are so amazing, you won't be dissapointed.
The only drawback is the weight of the MOD 100. It's about 65 pounds, the heaviest head I've even picked up. You could get the MOD 50 with a 1x12 or 2x12, it weighs less and sounds similar. I'll probably end up getting the MOD 50 with a 1x12 for my pack up and go rig.
You really need to listen to the Egnater video clips on IndoorStorm.com. All of modules are incredible.

This is the new 100 Watt 3 channel head. Made in December 2002. It came with 4 JJ/Tesla EL34 Power Amp tubes. You can insert any 3 modules into the front of the amp and switch them out at random. Each module has 2 EH 12AX7 preamp tubes. The amp has a seperate serial loop and a parallel loop. The back of the amp has a separate self biasing adjustment for each tube. You don't need to buy a set of matched tubes anymore. The front of the amp has a Master Volume, a Master Presence, a Master Density and a Master Effects knob (for the parallel loop)

The head is plugged into a Marshall 1960AV cabinet and a Marshall 1960BV cabinet. I am using a TC Electronic G-Force thru the serial loop. I play a 2002 Les Paul with stock Gibson Burstbucker V pickups and a Peavey Wolgang with stock pickups.
I settled on the Fender Twin, Marshall SL+ and Marshall SL++ modules.
Fender Twin
Very nice clean sounds with the gain about half way up, great for chords and finger picking. As you turn the gain up to 3/4 you start getting a nice tube amp distotion that has a alot of punch and clarity, great for bluesy type leads. Very nice module.
Marshall SL+
The Marshall modules have a mode button that allows you to change the sound from a Plexi panel sound (button in)to an aluminum panel sound (button out).
With the Les Paul think Led Zeppelin's Song Remains the Same Live Album. With the Wolfgang think Van Halen II and Van Halens Fair Warning Album. This module in my opinion sounds better than a 72 Marshall Head that I own. Great all around classic Rock n Roll sound. I love this module!
Marshall SL++
This is the same basic sound sound as the SL+ module but with one more gain stage. It is more aggresive than the SL+ (sweet). It is very characteristic of a VH Women and Children sound. This module kicks ass! It's what a Marshall is supposed to sound like. I love it.
The first time I plugged in and played with my band the drummer and bass player were ear to ear grins. This is by far the best sounding rig I have ever owned. It doesn't sound brittle/harsh and the bass is big and tight even at loud volumes. I love this amp!

I have only owned the amp for a little over a month. So far it has been played at a couple of gigs and used for practices everyday without a hiccup. So far so good. Time will tell

THE BEST! I have been dealing primarily with Frank. The man has bent over backwards to please. I cannot stress how much of a determining factor that was in purchasing this amp.

It is an expensive amp, but if you can get 3 really good sounding independent channels than it's worth it. I am spending more quality time playing than messing around with a bunch of knobs trying get a good sound out of my amp. I have been playing and searching for that sound for 24 years and found it. I would without a doubt purchase this amp again, as a matter of fact I am saving up for another head.
