This amp was custom built and voiced for me by Josh of Electrosonic Amps. It is a real basic setup: a single volume knob, 3 band eq, on/off and standby switches. I also had him install an Area 51 tube tremolo unit in the back for me. It is pretty bare bones but does what I need it to. Its 40 watts or so and I play small to medium sized venues without having to mic it. The only thing I would have liked to have would be reverb but other than that its great.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a custom built solid body guitar with DiMarzio pickups(class of 55 neck and dlx plus bridge) into a volume pedal, a Klon Centaur overdrive and a Danelectro Reel Echo into the amp. I play mostly "indie rock" type stuff and it works great for that. The single volume takes you all the way from pristine clean to dirty. I typically run it at 1/3 (there are no numeric markings to use as guidelines) volume and it is plenty loud for getting over a drummer. At that volume it is still relatively clean with a little dirt if you really dig in. When I kick the Klon on at that setting the Comet morphs from a nice tweedy clean sound into a wall of Marshalls less that whole blanketed sound that Marshalls are known for. The only noise I really get from it is when it is super cranked and the treble is way up. The tremolo is the sweetest warmest trem I have ever heard and perfectly compliments the amp. The speaker cab is one of the nicest I have ever heard as well.

Reliability : 9
When I first got the amp there was a problem with one of the speakers. Weber was really shady about the whole thing and Josh stayed on them the whole time and got it taken care of in a timely fashion. I take it on the road without a backup (I keep extra tubes and fuses though) and have not had a problem thus far.

Customer Support : 10
Josh answers all my emails within a day usually and gets things done on time or before he says he will. Superb!

Overall Rating : 8
I hae owned numerous amps through the years including custom shop Fenders and Marshalls and this ampp is definitely the best and most reliable I have come across yet. I had also looked into other companies like Groove Tubes etc when pricing amps and Electrosonic not only undercut everyone on price they also made an amp just for me for less than other companies stock models. I would definitely pick up another if this one ever was stolen.
