Made in 2009. The last of Electrosonic's custom line. This is the most versatile single-channel amplifier in existence. With 2 separate power amp sections (KT66 and KT77 sections, each with it's own mix knob) and a master volume out, it's impossible to NOT get the tone you want. Three band tone stack (TMB), gain and hi gain/lo gain switch. On the back, there is a cut control (high control, like a presence, but better and more musically tuned) and a sag control (voltage-controlled knob that emulates the sag of any tube rectifier you desire). I'm playing country, funk, dance, disco, hard rock, classic rock and '80s metal in a multi-genre cover band, and it does it all. Simply the best base sound you can get from any amplifier ANYWHERE. All-tube vertical 1x10, 1x12 combo stack monster.

I play with Teles, Strats, SGs, Hollowbodies, MusicMan Silhouettes, old American Kramers, and just about anything else that's cool or bizarre that I can get my fat paws on. No matter what you use, it delivers. And it delivers BIG. Quiet as they come. No noise. Impeccable tone, great FEEL. This amp RESPONDS to your playing better than anything else out there. I have not played anywhere that someone has not commented on my tone positively. Everyone always wants to know about Josh's amps - they look as good as they sound! No matter how loud you push this 80-watt monster, you can keep it as clean as you like, or send it into hard rock cascading overdrive that is as sweet as it comes.

Reliability : 10
Josh not only makes the best SOUNDING tube amps out there, he also makes the best LOOKING and most reliable. Built like a tank and drives like a tank. It's the most powerful feeling you'd ever have, and my confidence is always high as I play it - not only because it sounds good and reacts well, but because it's an Electrosonic - the most reliable tube amp made. Not to mention, Josh is ALWAYS available for tips, tricks and help. He's a genius and a great guy too.

Customer Support : 10
Try to find anyone as helpful or as knowledgeable as Josh. Seriously. I dare you. Is that short and direct enough?

Been playing 33 years. I own or have owned just about everything. I would sell every other amp I ever owned (in fact, I've sold off MANY since I got this, from an old Fender Deluxe to a Dr. Z Prescription) and only use this if I had to choose an amp. Even that being said, I don't play anything except Electrosonic Amplifiers now. I own 4 different models. This custom is the best by far, built to my exact specs. I love everything about it, and hate nothing. The only thing I wish it had is an engine so I could use it to drive to work. If it were stolen or lost, I'd hunt the punk down who took it and beat him to a pulp. I would like to share that I just found out Josh is packing it in and shutting down his shop due to family issues, and it's like losing an old friend. If you see ANYTHING made by this guy ANYWHERE, buy it up NOW. You will thank me. I wish you the best, Josh. You'll be seriously missed in the guitar world.
