Eminence Beta 10A

This is a high power handling capability speaker for guitar. 10", 2" voice coil, 250 watts, 38 oz magnet. As it is a speaker, not much you can say about features except that they make it sound good.

I was struggling finding good speakers for my 70's era Vibrolux. I play humbucking guitars mostly in a variety of styles and was looking for speakers that could provide a great clean tone with lots of headroom and low end. I kept trying vintage styled speakers like the Legend 105, Copperhead, etc. and was dissapointed by the breakup of these speakers at even moderate volumes. I realize that many players seek out vintage type speakers for how they add to the distortion, but its not my cup of tea. I finally emailed Eminence and they suggested the Beta 10 as a guitar speaker. I had my doubts as I thought it would sound like a PA speaker. I put in the Betas and am really pleased with the result. The Vibro sounds much "wider" than before. Also, this speaker elicits some very sweet clean tones. It also sounds great with overdrive. I finally feel I can out speaker quest to bed!

If you HAVE to have a nice sweet pristine clean tone without the spikey highs, or if you're into jazz - you have to check out this 10" speaker.
