This thing is an 2 x 60 Watts all tube stereo poweramp with a huge amount of features and it's versatile like hell. For features see the review of Thomas Richter. Stop there is one feature he forgot, the amp got a real stereo effects loop. There is one thing that could be made better: the depth boost is only switchable and that's why you normaly can't use it (because definitively nobody will hear your bass-player anymore) It should be a poti as for instance on the VHT two/fifty/two.
That's why I give it a 9. I use the amp for playing gigs and practice and I never had the feeling that I'm running out of power. It is incredible loud if you want it to be.

Sound Quality : 10
If you're looking for a poweramp that makes your rig sound like a tube head, that's the right one for you. It sounds very clear over all frequencies, it reproduces every note you play in the right way and it cuts through even with some strange preamp settings. At the moment I use it together with an DigiTech 2120 VGS Artist and a Roland GP 100. This poweramp covers every music style together with the right preamp. There is no noticeable noise comming out of this amp.

Reliability : 9
I never had any problems with the amp and I don't think that I need a backup because I can use the amp with reduced power even if three of the four power tubes have been broken down. In the worst case there is a backup: my old 8008 Marshall.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them but I heard a lot of good things about 'em. They should be very helpful and very fast and also friendly.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for over 20 Years now and payed many different styles. My current live rig contains a Sennheiser Evolution Wireless System, the DigiTech 2120 VGS Artist Preamp/Processor, a GP-100 Preamp /Processor,the 930/60 Engl Poweramp and a stereo 4 x 12" JCM 800 1960 Marshall Cabinet.
I was trying out a lot of poweramps: MesaBoogie SimulClass 2:90, Peavey Classic 50/50, VHT two/fifty/two, Rocktron Velocity 150, Marshall 8008 (that scrap I used before).
It's difficult to compare all these amps but there were three left to choose from: MesaBoogie SimulClass 2:90 (too expensive);
VHT two/fifty/two(No dealer in Germany for VHT at the moment)so I choosed the Engl and I'm pretty happy about it. I can use both preamps without a looper, I control the poweramp with my GP-100 (Channel setting, depth boost) , I can (if it's necessary) use an additional FX Processor in the effects loop(I'm looking for a "t.c. G-Major)If it would be stolen I would either buy another one or try to get a VHT two/fifty/two used.

Bought it in 1999 together with a matching preamp. Tube-poweramp, stereo, 2 * 60 watts (RMS).Integrated A/B Switch (Two inputs from different preamps) and 4(!) presence-potis (two different setups, switchable, with each two different potis for separate settings for left and right channel), midi-interface(!), and outputs for 4/8/16 ohm-speakers, makes almost no noise. Separate standby-switch for each channel, bass-boost (this one really rocks using clean sound on a single coil in neck position) Separate fuses for each powertube, if one breaks, the appropriate channel is breaking down to about 30% of it's power, but that's still enough. So you can kill 3 of the 4 tubes while playing without having to switch amps !!! ;-)

Sound Quality : 10
As it is just a power-amp, there is no distortion. You should use a cabinet with 4*12" speakers, min 150 watts per channel to make sure you won't spoil it... I'm using only 25% the power this one produces and that used to be enough for small to medium club-gigs. Be careful with high-distortion sounds and the bass-boost switch or nobody will hear the bass-player anymore... ;-)

Reliability : 10
No chance to spoil this poweramp if you know how to handle a tube- amp... Runs as long as one tube functions (originally four !), spare main-fuse included right above the mains-connector...

Customer Support : 10
12 month, had one defective tube after 7 months. This people sent me a complete set of 4 selected tubes for free ;-)

Overall Rating : 10
Playing this amp now for 1 1/2 years together with a matchin engl preamp... I will never sell this stuff and i will never buy myself another amp !
