4 channels, switchable via MIDI, treble knobs for each channel.
No compromise craftmanship, equipped with Accutronics? spring reverb and Celestion? Vintage 30 speakers. It has a built in Noise gate for the lead channels. 2 effect ways and a MIDI in and through.

The only thing missing is a MIDI footswitch that you have to buy sepreately for 190 EURO.

Sound Quality : 10
I have 2 Strats, 1 Tele and 1 Les Paul. Alesis quadraverb for Delay 12 Boss Effects on the floor (from Chorus, Overdrive to Wah Wah)

The Sound is incredible. You can play 60 Soul and Blues as well es modern Pop and Rock. With the High Gain you have so much headroom that I don't know who will ever use this. The Clean Sound is like Fender Twin, The Crunch is very versatile, the Lead one is more Marshall like the Lead 2 is more smooth midway LA Style. You can get every sound you like from it. Well I must admit that every sound has a liitle bit of ENGL colouring and it sounds a little bit more modern than the original Amps but I really dig this.

The Reverb is OK but tends to feedback over 6 o clock.

Much Bottom End for only one speaker. You have so many possibilities to create the sound. Great with different EQ for the channels.
Get the Midi Board to use this potential.
Only if you are a Nu MEtal Freak and like this rectifier sounds than you should turn to Mesa. For everybody else, get this one.

I've heard no better Amp and I had them all
(e.g.: Marshall 100 Top
Fender Twin
H&K
Mesa Boogie Mark4
Mesa Boogie Caliber
Mesa Boogie Triaxis
MArshall 1 19" Preamp
just to name a few.

It took me 20 Years to find it and I will never change.

Reliability : 9
Small and classic amp design. two fans to cool the tubes, everything very tight. Metal grid in front of the speaker looks cool and stable. Great Value for the money. This will last decades I think.

I had some trouble with the grip but they repaired it.

Customer Support : 10
I had trouble with the grip as mentioned. Everybody at ENGL was very helpful. After a tube problem I had after the transport I got a new tube for free and very good support. Very nice company

Overall Rating : 10
I play for 25 Years everything from Pop to Soul and Blues. Now I do modern Rock with German lyrics.
I like analog Effects. Theres no better Chorus like the Bos CE-2 no better Phaser then the BOSS PH-1r and there is no good digital Wah Sound in my opinion. The Line 6 POD is impressing but for me only as a fall back.

The ENGL is nearly perfect. Great Tone, very versatile, so many sounds and everything great. The Reverb could be a little better but I don't need it anyway.
