This is an additional review for my review below, because I bought a second one. Now I can go stereo. That is very practical on stage, if you move a lot. Now the sound is more room-filling and not only good, if you stay in one position and it's good for may back.
Now my Line 6 MM4 comes alive! Incredible sound, stereo-heaven! Mono is yesterday.

All in all, I don't need an amp with 4 channels and eq's, because then you spend a lot time with the knobs.

This amp gives two good basic sounds, clean and overdrive. The rest is the job of my pedals. With my two overdrive pedals (a drivemaster and a TS7) I can achieve 6 different distortion sounds.

Sound Quality : 10
I play mainly strats (costum with vintage noiseless, classic 70's and a TexMex).
OK, there is a noise, because of the tubes, but who cares? On stage you won't notice the hum, in studios you habe noise-gates.
The clean sound has not so much headroom, but stays clean. Its very responsive and transparent. If you crank two of the amps up to ten, you will hear your guitar clear on small to middle stages.

First I often used the the clean-lead option, but the sound isn't really clean. But if you want a compressed, fat, slightly distorted, more closed but singing tone, that's it.
The bright-switch brings the sound nearer to Fender (more clear), without it's more Voxy (more warm).
But this amp has its own charcter and that depends of what tubes you use. My two amps are sounding are sounding quite different, when I a/b them. One has ruby tubes, the other original engl-tube and that's the louder one.

On lead channel my lead-volume setting is about 3 to achieve an open and roaring overdrive-sound, if you go over 5 the distortion is getting to nasaly for my taste. But for more balls I have the two pedals. The lead-channel is really hot. With the lead-master on 3 on both amps it's punchy enough. Be carefull with your ears! The greenbacks give you THE killersound.

In live-situations the amps run with behringer ultra-g (Juergen Rath designed 4x12 speaker-simulator-, 3 times cheaper and better than H&K red box pro) directly hooked up with the speak's-out.

Reliability : 10
both amps are from the early 90's and still working. no more comment...

i am german, living in the land of engl

Overall Rating : 10
Warm up the tubes and go. Has its own character, because it's no imitation, but you can have many classic rock sounds, it's a classic engl. The strength is the lead-channel with the engl-bite, forget marshall. You can go from vintage to funky. IT ROCKS!

I don't exactly know, but i guess this 30w-2-channel-all-tube-amp was made in the early 90's. It runs with 3 12AX7AC4 HG (extremely low microphonics to go with the great tone and gain of this tube)and 2 EL84-MR special ruby-tubes (military version of the EL84 tube. Rugged construction with soft tone) .Its color is black and the front-panel has old fashioned Fender or Mesa-Boogie like dial-knobs with Lead Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Reverb, Master Lead and Master Clean. There are additional switches: Bright, Clean Gain and the channel-switch.
On the rear-panel there are 2 speaker-outs, on one the stock green-back!!! (celestion 25w speaker) is plugged in and the second is 8 ohm, I think, for an additional cab. Further theres is an effect-loop send-return with a level-knob, a dooble-foot-switch for lead+reverb.

You don't have an extra EQ for each channel, so it gets a 9, but the Bright and the Clean Gain switch has a very deep effect on the sound, so you have 3 really different amp-sounds!!!

Sound Quality : 9
I use a cort G-250 with SSH, a costum strat with noiseless-fender-pu's and an epiphone LP standard.
I used the amp once at home and i played the cort with the Clean Master on 2 and the Lead Master on 1. If I had turned up more, i have had a party with my neighbours. With a drummer clean on 4 and lead on 2-3 is enough punch at all!
My standard EQ-setting: bass 8, middle 7, treble 3, presence 3.
With humbuckers I switch on the Bright-Mode and everything ist very brilliant.

It doesn't matter, what setting you have on this amp, its always singing, from sweet to agressive!

Clean: very warm ,very rich, very clear and very natural and super sustain, every chord is standing in the room, single-note-playing is a great pleasure, because of the dynamic and natural tube-compression.
I never heard that kind of tone on a fender or marshall, I think they change the natural sound of your guitar a little bit and if they don't they are very expensive, like the vintage or boutique-amps.

Clean Lead: I love this switch, you'll get more richness, more dynamic and power out off your single coils. Very good for aggressive, nearly clean blues and rock overdrive sounds.

Bright: If I change my strat for the Les Paul, I only have to switch the bright-mode on and I have a brilliant tone with the humbuckers. I don't have to change the EQ-settings. Very practical!!

Lead: You can go from subtle overdrive to high gain roaring, it sounds very vintage, very warm, like old mesa-boogies, BUT with the bright-switch on you will have a monster, allways cutting through. GREAT!!!

EQ: very sensitve and effective.

Reverb: It has a spring-reverb, it's ok, but I don't like the sound so much, because on higher settings it jumps a little bit, like if you kick the amp. So I set it between 2 and 3.Because if the reverb the sound is getting a 9.

All in all the sound ist incredible for this little, used and very cheap amp. And i think with the green-back you will allways have a GREAT TONE!!!

I bougt it some weeks ago from eBay. I play it mainly on practise- sessions with my friends. No gig so far and no problem so far. So let's wait.
The tubes are from 2000 and the pre-owner told me, if I use the same tubes for the next time it won't need any biasing again. And how the amp is sounding like, I won't have to change the tubes in the next 2 years.
This Combo have been working over 10 years, so it's no shit at all!!

Customer Support : No Opinion
No warranty, no support. I have the tube-info from the pre-owner and thats enough.

Overall Rating : 10
For this price it is really a gift. OK, you have always a risk, if you buy used stuff and i have problems with an other used amp, but this one is awesome, I have a good feeling with it.
If you search a very cheap and versatile all-tube-combo from vintage to modern sounds, that's it!! Why buying a new one? I trust in bavarian handcraft. For the money, you can get this great amp and a good guitar!! And for under 500 bucks you can't get anything like this. If you see one, get it, you'll don't make a mistake.
