Voicing is as varied as you are with it; it will do the work of three separate amps. The longer I use it, mellower the sound gets; any allusion by others to 'tinny, trebly' sound with 'single coils' was not experienced by me.
I have used this amp to set-up three personally toned Strats, all with greatly different Vintage/RWRP sets (Antiquity II Surf, Texas Specials, Cal Surf SSL-1's and 'Fat 50' w/TX Spl Bridge) and my own tone circuit scheme with great success. It serves in this double-duty of music amp and reference amp for set-ups admirably.

The feature that are impessive to me is tube trans and rectifier. I can imagine a strat single coil being thin although my Strat days are way behind me, This amp is new on the market and reviews are extreme one end or the other. I'm not sure but could be that many are not use to waht real distotion sounds like, thats not a dis, its just that early amps aere all tube and distortions either came from in good part to rectifier lag or nasty speaker sometimes ripped, now it seems that the amp needs to have more ability then the player. I've had many vintage amps.. big deal, but this amp acts like a louder version of a small all tube vintage amp and I mean all tube. I find the best setting to drive to amp with guitar but adjusting the amp so its touch sensative. When i first plugged in a semi hollow with 2 P-90's the sound sucked but after I did some swithing and basically just using the amp and not the distortion, I am so impressed at having a clean sound and with a little extra finger pressure on the string when needed, the beak up is natural and real There is no dought that hums are easy to dial in but I got my main guitar ready to gig in about an hour. Headroom is not what these rectifier tube guitars are about unless you get a fender and want to lose your hearing (many models) but when You get the high end Fenders or boutique amps You may get thrashing trashing sounds plus what this amp provises but thats not my scrotum. There is no feature I wish it had except someone to carrier it, its at least as heavy as a twin. This is a fantastic amp for flesh on string players but don't knpw how muck a flatpicker would like it. AB or A is great.. Know what that means kiddies? A is lowest efficiency highest quality down the alphabet. I know you guys will say You knew that but now You do. AB more power less quality.. get it?

For my ears and early American electric tunes this amp is best I have owned since 1961, I couldn't run of a speedo guitar lick to save my life but then again You probably can't play John Lee Hookers catalog, or Elmore James without sounding like a white man. Distortion can suck or can be natural and perfect with great swirl and bounce. Used the p-90's burns pickups (sounds real nasty.. great for sing coil, and paf hums which seem to be agreed upon that the are the easiest to dial in but I think they sound no better the the p-90's or burns. There is a noticable hum with volume up depending on bass setting but so goes must tubes with all tube set up.

Playing since 61. i would buy it again and just might buy another since they are so inexspensive. I love the old vintage sound with volune, I chose this amp because blood didn't squirt out my ears at high volume and its touch sensative, got the kind of sound you might hear along the shores of a swarm down south from a voodoo doctors shack that you know is out there someplace but would rather not know where

Very versatile; the EQ is very broad and takes time to learn. The return to spring reverb and away from artificial DSP was anticipated and welcome.

Wonderful sound with my Classic Series '60 R.I. strat loaded with Fat Fifties and Texas Special bridge as well as the same loaded with all Texas Specials.
Very revealing with these Lady Luck speakers which need no 'second guess' replacing as with so many mainstream amp models today.

A superb value and product in this saturated market. I passed on Classic 50/212 and Delta Blues 210 for this. I had good luck with Epi Galaxie 25 in contrast to others, so I went with the tube amp 'underdog' in the current market. I do hope they manage to hold on to this price range, as it is under-represented vs. the boutique market.

Made in 2006, 30 watt, 2 channels, 2 12 inch Eminence speakers, uses 5881 tubes instead of 6l6GC's. This amp has a feature where you can change how the tone controls effect the signal as it passes through them (independent or interactive).

This amp is a continuation or next step up from the Epiphone Valve Standard 112 and it sounds similar. It has a full fat warm distortion using guitars with humbuckers and a horrible thin sound when using Strats with single coils pickups. It was a disapointment to discover how hard it was to dial in a good tone when using a Strat. Humbuckers sounded fantastic! The distortion and clean channel both use the same tone controls however there is a mid range control added to the distortion channel which really works well to tweak the distortion channnels tone. The distortion when compared to a Peavey Valve King of Triple X is a sweeter, creamier distortion (even order harmonics?). There is plenty of distortion for most music styles but probably not for New Metal (it is, after all, sold as a blues amp). The clean channel lacks headroom and breaks up early, to early. This is the same issue with the Epiphone Valve Standard 112. The clean channel does get that nice bluesy breakup but if you want loud clean volume you will be disapointed. The two 12 inche speakers are great and complement the amp. They help fill out the bottom end well, keeping everything firm, there not muddy and they break up well when distortion is used. The reverb is decent plenty of it and it assists rather than interferes when playing. The tone control feature is very interesting and quite nice. When interactive is engaged the amps volumes increases quite a bit and the amp takes on a whole other character, taking on a more classic vintage amp character. Switching from Idependent mode to Interactive is almost like switching a speaker dampening switch, it's tighter in independent mode and looser when Interactive. The amp does not seem that loud, I have experienced 30 watt amps that seemed much louder than this amp. It is pretty heavey to move weighing in at 65 pounds.

This amp is fun to play because it's tone is really nice and the amp has a signing quality when soloing. I never felt a need to change tubes or speakers. I was disappointed in the lack of clean head room and it strange reaction of loosing all tone (going thin and tinny)when switching to single coil guitars like Strats.
