This amp is pretty basic. It has a single input, with one channel. It has one volume and gain knob each. Then there's bass, mid, and treble (and as a added bonus...REVERB!). A good feature is the headphone jack. That is perfect for some guitarists, because many people hate to be forced to listen to aspiring guitarists practice. It's 15 watts and an 8 inch speaker. Pitiful, huh? I give it an 8 because, basically, when you start out and your just learning how to play "Ode To Joy", who really needs 100 watts and a grunge pedal?

With this hunk o' junk you're pretty much getting this: one channel which if you want loud you must put up the gain! I really hate that because sometimes I like to get mellow and play clean, but I can't because to get a higher volume you put vol. on 10 and basically use the gain knob. Anyway, the amp sucks, but when I was looking for a first amp I didn't know the difference between solid state or tube!

I've never played a "gig", but I'm guessing definely not!!! duh- this box with a speaker isn't even heard over drums...you cant even hear it!

this is a piece of crap, BUT, it is an excellent amp for those who just like to sit in their bedroom and play along with CDs or something. Don't bother trying to use this for a band, though.
I give it a 8 for beginners I give it a 0 for people who actually care about their sound
