This is a little 9volt battery powered practice amp which includes Volume and Treble controls, one switch for Off/On/Overdrive as well as Input and Headphones jacks. An easy access battery compartment is located on the back, plus a 9V jack for an external power supply. So far the battery seems to last a surprisingly long time, I estimate at least 10-15 hours on one 9 volt (depending on how loud/long you play it each time, I suppose).
What's really cool is its all wood construction, black cloth grill and black Tolex style covering. It's definitely a cut above all the other little amps in its price range.

I'm not going to harp about how this is the greatest sounding amp in the world, but it has a very good sound compared to other battery powered mini amps in its price range. Doesn't blow them away or anything like that. Clean channel is good for practicing chords and the overdrive gives it a bluesy "roadhouse" sound, if that's what turns you on. No massive Heavy Metal here, but that's what your Marshall is for right? My rating is based on comparisons with other mini-amps.

Too early to tell, seems as good as any amp in the "mini-amp" category.

Never had to deal with them.

I wanted a portable, battery powered amp for practicing on the run, and I was going to settle with a little mini-Marshall or mini-Fender thingy, which are cool since they look like their big league counterparts. After checking it out I just felt that the Epiphone Studio Mini is a more "serious" non-serious little amp, and therefore a tad bit more cooler. Just a little more bang for your buck. There's no huge advantage in getting one, just a better overall value.
