I just got this amp for Christmas. At first I would have prefered, you know, a tube amp, but after playing around with this thing, I don't think I would trade it in for anything short of a Mesa/Boogie half stack. The features are a little shy, but this is a quality amp with loads of tone. It plays impro-blues, Kill 'Em All metal, and even some super clean and crisp ballads. The headphone jack remains unused because this things sheds out enough power to compare with my Crate combo at bedroom volume levels.

I use this amp with a early 80's Fender, and it never fails to prove that the cleanest of amps sound noisy. I can barely hear a sparkle of bad distortion. This amp gives great distortion, however the volume has to be all the way up to get really good because it's a pre-amp distortion.

Reliability : No Opinion
Had it for a short time, and it's too small to gig with.

Like I said, had it for very short time.

You will never find such a versital, great sounding, and ultimately fantastic amp for this low of price. Sounds great with all six of the pedals I use on a regular basis, especially the Ernie Ball volume and the Boss delay. My only problem with this amp is that it doesn't come in a larger package that compares with it short of a Mesa/Boogie (which I have owned and used extensively- this amp's that good!)

My reason behind my high ratings? Well I'm comparing this amp to those cheesy little platsic Marshalls and even the mini Vox amp. This thing is big (8.5" x 7" x 4") and it's actually made out of WOOD! The controls are weird....a tone knob for EQ, and two gain knobs. I guess one of the gains acts as a volume. Turn one all the way up and the other about half way and you get loads of distortion, vice versa and theres the clean tone. It's also got a headphone jack.

I play an Epiphone LP with stock pickups and a Gibson LP Studio with stock pickups. Epiphone calls it dynamic "E" drive distortion. Whatever it is it sounds great! It really sounds like the speaker is in a wooden cabnet!(it is in a wooden cab) You can go from a Blusey 70s rock sound to almost a hevy metal tone with a twist of one of the gain knobs. You gotta mess with your pots on your guitar though. I keep the tone all the way on treble on my guitars when I'm using this amp. It has a real mellow sound so the treb is a bit shy. The tone knob is alright. I mean it works great but this amp deserves seperate bass and treble controls.

Reliability : 9
I believe this amp holds it's own next to any amp. It's actually built like a real amp, not just some plastic toy (your guitar cord wont pull it off the damn table). It is, however, a battery eater so buy the power cord.
Warrenty? I dunno.....

I've had it for only about 2 months, so no comment here.

I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. For around 50 bucks I think its great to pratcice on. It beats the hell out of those other mini "amps" hands down. I would not concider this amp a toy!
