I use the amp with humbuckers although it is probably O.K. for most any electric guitar. Most of us know that the Esteban product line leaves something to be desired at best. I inherited this amp from my sister that bought the line and the guitar. The suprise with this amp is that for something this small it sounds acceptable at low and moderate volumes. It is reasonably quiet, seemingly well made and has responsive controls and a headphone jack. No, I would not go out of my way to buy this amp. More like if you see one at a garage sale for less than $25.00 you will get good use out of it especially when I/you have to practice in the wee hours. The overdrive channel is most unnecessary and very noisy. I am giving the amp an 8 for being a useful tool for low volume practice.
Reliability

I think it will be reliable, if it quits I won't be out a thing. I know that Esteban suggests that this amp will "Rock", hardly.

I'll use it till it breaks, no idea or even care if there is a warranty.

I have two small 5 watt tube amps, Both a Gibson GA-5 and the Epi knock off. The Epi is over at my parents for after lesson practice when I visit. The Gibson GA-5 is a fine practice amp, but I play that amp pretty loud. Like I previously mentioned, for late night or early morning practice this amp ain't bad.
