This amp is great. You really can play all kinds of styles on this on, just stick a stomp box in front of it and start choppin'.Two channels. Channel 1, normal, has just volume, treble, mid and bass. A bright switch is on each channel. Channel 2, vibrato, has volume, treble, mid, bass, reverb, speed and intensity. The sound is clean, clean, clean, clean, and very cool if you can handle the volume when you want it to distort. The tone is provided by 4*6L6GC tubes, 4*12AX7A tubes and 2*12AT7 tubes. I play everything from blues to punk to "noiserock". It's lovely. It has got everything you need!

My les paul sound like everything I've always dreamed of anyway. If you want a special sound to your guitar, this isn't for you. It gives you a wide sound, almost nothing is lost, nothing you need anyway. If you listen to Stevie Ray Vaughans "Lenny" live at Molchobolko or somethign like that, that's the sound. A twin, a stomp box and you can go everywhere you want.

I really can't say I've just got it, but a good tech looked at it for me. He said it was built to last a lifetime, and he didn't work for Fender.

I would bye it again. You want clean, you want the twin reverb. You want dirty, you want the twin reverb + A stomp box.

Basically a one channel amp with two options. The channel with Reverb and Vibrato and the channel without. Not many "bells and whistles" but then that's the point of this amp. The amp is 85watts of wonderfully loud and "warm" tube magic.

This amp sets the standard for what players refer to as the "Fender" sound. This amp is "warm" and very pleasing to the ears.Nice fat clean sounds and incredible bass response. Produces sound that resonates and is percussive in nature. You feel the sound in your chest even at resonable volumes. Overall the amp is very quiet and extremelly dynamic. It picks up every nuance of your playing - loud and soft so you had better be happy with what you are playing. The Reverb is classic Fender and if anything is a bit to much. Rarely would I get the Reverb knob above 3.- The Tremelo feature is a nice bonus and sounds great, especially on clean tones. You need to place the "intensity" knob above 5 to really notice the effect. This amp offers no built in distortion unless you count cranking it up to 7 or above and standing in the next room. Currently using a Strat Ultra with it and it's a match made in Fender heaven.

Only had the amp for one month so I will not comment on the long term reliability. Feel good about the 5 year transferable warranty though!Imagine if I treat the amp well it will treat me the same.

Have dealt with Fender before and they were helpful enough. Recommend calling Fender direct in Arizona and finding out about your local service centers. Look for the ones with the Gold ratings.

Almost bought the 3-channel "evil" Twin with many modern features but after comparing the two amps head to head noticed the 65 re-issue had a much warmer and fatter clean sound. I attribute this to the 3channel Twin having to many things in the signal path and that tends to take away from the overall sound of the amp. (just my opinion) - Decided to go with the amp that had the best clean sound and then augment the sound as needed with quality effect pedals like the Fulldrive2 overdrive/dist. pedal. (killer pedal!) - This way you keep the warmer and richer sound of this classic tube monster. And besides I can't afford any of the Matchless products yet... Yes I would buy this amp again -(and may do so soon to run my rig in stereo...)
