Not much in the way of features on this amp. It is pretty versatile. It's also more than powerful enough for gigging (On the high impedence channel I rarely push the volume pass 1!) The one thing I think is sadly lacking on this amplifier is a speaker output. I had to un-solder the speaker from the board and drill a hole in the back to place a socket for speaker output. It sounds a lot better through a Marshall 4x12 cabinet. Overall I reckon that if there were two twelve inch speakers built in it would make a world of a difference, as the one twelve inch can't really handle the bass end too well.

I've used a strat with this amp for a few years now, and find it's probably the most suitable guitar for this amp. I'm currently using an Aria Pro II les Paul(A beautiful guitar), through the amp and without a doubt it needs to be plugged up to the 4x12 for this axe. The amp sounds better with the gain backed off a bit(around 5-6) and theres buckets of tone to be had, the only thing is it looses a bit when you play around/above the twelfth fret. A bit too tinny for my taste.

Very reliable. It has not let me down in six years of gigging. Having said that, it will probably blow up on my next gig. I started with this amp as a second amp, to spread the sound a little in conjunction with a Fender "the twin". Whereas I honestly believe that you just can't beat a tube amp, I've still taken to using this amp because of it's small size and portability.

I've never dealt with Fender, and to be honest I don't think I want to. Let's face it, I'd be waiting a long time if I had to deal with the states as I live in Ireland!

I got this AMP around 1996. I forget how much I paid, not a real lot.
I like the head phone and foot switch jacks, very handy. The PreAmp out and Power Amp in are good for master/slave configurations.
If it had a cd or tape input for play along it would be an ideal practice amp.

The 112+ is OK. The thing I do not like about it is that the volume on both clean and drive gets loud real fast. With the volume on 1 it is loud already. The feedback on the drive channel is uncontrollable.
I do not know if this is normal or the AMP needs service. The clean is very clean and has good tone qualities. The drive channel provides nice distortion at low volume levels. Crank it up and it sings and screams uncontrollably.

So far no problems except for the volume knob thing. At 1 it is loud already. Not a lot of control for volume.

It is an OK practice amp but I would not use it for playing out.

The one i bought (in ~1995) came with schematics for
everything, including the footswitch, which allowed me to build my
own. Unnecessary, but kindof nice. :) The circuitry for the amp
is pretty elegant, and the overdrive (although solidstate) can
be adjusted by knob to produce quite a warm tone. The amp only has one input, which i've found irritating sometimes but only because i'm cheap.

I've played two guitars through it: an epiphone sheraton II and a very home-built guitar which might resemble a strat with some imagination.
The sheraton has a lot of low-end, which i think was to blame when i blew the speaker. Replacing it was cheap and easy though.
The semi-strat sounds fine, nothing special, but certainly nothing to complain about.
The overdrive channel can be noisy, but what did you expect? Fender is fairly proud of their solidstate overdrive, which can be made to have a very transistor-y tone or
a fairly warm, bluesy tube-like tone. I quite like the distortion, i must say. Oh, yeah, and for its size, the amp has a good amount of power -- 60 watts is plenty for small venues which non-professionals are likely to play.

Well, i did blow out the speaker, but almost certainly that was my fault
as much as the amp's. I've never had a problem with the electronics.
Handles beer-spills quite well. ;)

Never dealt directly with fender. I did take it in to a store to get the
speaker replaced, but they ended up taking so long waiting for the part that i just
ordered it from a catalog and did it myself, which turned out to be quite
simple. Also, as mentioned, full schematics were included.

I've been playing guitar for about 7 years and consider myself
more than competent. Pedals i own are a Morley bad horsie (there is really no reason to buy any other brand of wah. May all wah pots burn in hell.), an ElectroHarmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress Flanger,
which is noisy as hell but i love it, an MXR distortion+ which just got stolen, and a Boss Loopstation which i also love and
which broke the bank. The 112+ is the perfect amp for me, since i don't play huge venues, move around a lot, enjoy the sound it makes, and enjoy the price i paid for it.
As another reviewer wrote, it's a quality above-entry-level amp, but no marshall stack. I'd buy another one if this one were stolen.

The amp was made in 1998. I think it is versatile enough for non purists. The amp may be a 'Jack of all trades' and it may be a master of none.It has two switchable channels; clean and dirty. It has an effect loop and a headphone jack. I wish it had a recording out so I could use it as a feed to the PA. The two guitar input jacks are high and low impedence. Smart, but I only really use one of them. I play mostly small venues and it has more than enough power. I wish I could turn it up to get better tone.

I use a modified strat(two seymour duncan humbuckers) and a stock American Standard and Gibson 135. In my gig I play a variety; classic rock, pop, jazz, folk, and a few children's songs. The distorted channel is sometimes too noisy even though I set it up for rhythm crunch. I have never used it for metal, etc.

This amp is very reliable because it is solid state with a corresponding struggle for warmth.

I've used Fender customer support for other things, not this amp. They were as helpful as they could be.

If I lost this amp, the only other amp I would look at would be a Boogie. Failing that, I would try to get another one of these. It's small, light, and got plenty of power. I wish I could turn the volume up to get better tone but maintain low volume and a recording out for the PA would be nice also.
