Fat tight and solid. It has a very wide sound if that makes sense. gave it a seven since it repalced the oxfords with celestions. but the effect of the cabinet on the celestions it a 10

very heavy and big so stair are a problem if they are narrow

it is from 1969. CS would be a lot to expect

this amp was sitting in a store for years. It said Fender solid state and had a loose baffel. the grill had been spray painted black. Since Fender SS from the 60's are considered junk no one wanted this cabinet. big mistake, it is a big bandmaster cab, standard fender design, solid as a rock and made of real pine, dried and resonant. rap it and it rings like an acoustic guitar. Brought it home and the stock oxfords were nice but did not cut it for my style. Redid the grill cloth for 25.00 and put in some extra celestions I had. drilled some new holes to remount the baffel. amouralled it and plugged in my jtm45. ......wwwwooooooooowwwww. one of the best cabs I have ever played.Tight solid bottom lots of mids and a warm top end, Just a big wide full sound. One thing with 3 16 ohm speakers I have a load of 5.33 so I run it at 4. So I traded a mic I never needed so it cost me about 50 bucks. The reason I posted this is that I found nothing on this cab, wanted to tip everyone off on a good cab that most overlook due to it's SS logo. No way you can get a real wood cab for so cheap....not even fibre board gets this cheap. I was thinking of cutting a new baffel to make it 4 x12 but It sound so good I don't want to mess it up
