68 Blackline Silverface Pro Reverb. Driprail around grill. The Blacklines are early SF and I've confirmed mine is the AA165 BF circuit.
Typical Fender, two channels, Normal and Vibrato, non-switching.
About 40 watts, 2-12s, kickback legs.
Very loud, clean, full, superb reverb and very cool vibrato.
I bought it used and it came with Eminence Legend 122 Alnico speakers, and a mix of Telefunken & Fender (GE) twin triodes and Sylvania 6L6GC output tubes. Tube recifier of course. Very useable tone controls.

Les Paul R4 Goldtop (P90s) and a Telecaster.
Great amp for blues & classic rock & even country. No high gain stuff here boys. What you do with your hands is projected loud and clear for all to hear. OD with the Legends is "tweedish" but not as mid rangey and LOUD.
Extremely quiet operation. No hiss, hum, crackles, pops, burps or farts. Just serviced with new filter caps and pots cleaned.

The reverb pan didn't survive the shipper's handline. I had to replace one of the spring hangars. The seller supplied a couple of salvaged spares and it took me about an hour to strip the unit and R&R the hook.
Other than that it's built like a '60's Fender combo which is to say, it's solid.
Spare or backup amp for a gig? Must be a recent phenomenon brought about by newer unreliable consumer electronics. When I gigged 20 years ago no one had the money or desire to carry around a "backup amp." You take your bag with a few spare tubes & fuses and go for it.

N/A. If you have an old tube amp, know a good tech or work on it yourself.

Playing since I was 12 but took the last 12 years off for marriage, start a family, change jobs, the same old story for a lot of us over 45 guys. Coming back to playing and wanted an appreciating, killer sounding classic. I got it. I also have a Tweed clone I built that compliments the Pro Reverb very well. Nothing against them but I don't use effects. The guitar's volume knobs are there for a reason. Want clean? Roll them back. Want breakup? Roll them on.
That said, again, this is a LOUD amp and I may do a NFB loop mod, making it variable so I can get breakup at a lower volume.

this is the guts of a 67, probably silverface, in the tolex body of a 68. 45 watts, has a sticker on the back that says 200 watts. it is a local player from southwest missouri, tolex is perfect, casters, very very heavy, very clean amp. I use this amp to record, but could use outside very easily.

this amp is very loud. there is not much noise at all. I had a very pleasant purchase from a nice fellow who was downsizing, had other amps not for sale that I could not afford. about three on the volume you can use this for very very full recording volume, add a pedal. I use a fulltone fulldrive, but hate them unless the pedal volume is turned way down. this amps tone controls are very responsive, run bass and treble on about 5, reverb is wonderful. use it about 3. speakers are 1977 fender special design. cant imagine what this would sound like with replacements, but it would have to be good. this is a fine fine amp, I have clark beaufort, mesa boogie, hughes and kettner, fender hot rod deluxe and have had soldano, and others. this has such great presence I cant really play through any of the others. It is so full. I like to play at low volume with a good pedal. I have a jerry donahue morley pedal I am gonna try this through. the fulltone is ok but not fully satisfied. this amp could be modded to go anywhere I know. so far very very happy with the sound. broke strings on two guitars just getting used to the sound. am using a reverend rocco with this, very quiet pickups. nice guitar, it has a small neck, and has some string guage problems. when heavier guage strings are used you need a shim behind the neck or the strings sit higher off the fretboard up high. but that is another story. great sound.

playing over 30 years. wish I had that old music manI bought new that was modded. I want another one like this, if I let it go. I like to use amps at low volume and get a nice acoustic sound out of them at low volume and then turn them up with/or without a pedal to get a higher gain sound. this one works. will probably sell a couple or mod a couple or have a fellow build me the amp I really want. this is a great great amp. I would have paid a couple hundred more it. I think they are worth it in the long run.
