This is the smaller, horizontal, 2X12 cabinet from between 64 and 67. I know the time period from the grill cloth used. It's also an odd-bird as it's loaded with 2 CTS 12's. These (Chicago Telephone System) speakers just ROCK! I found out that they were stock in some of the Bandmasters and Bassman cabs from that era. Super simple box with a wooden divider between the two speakers and once I tightened all the screws and put new ones in the back, it's as solid as a rock. For my use, this box is a dream come true.

Here's why this cabinet really works for me... I purchased a new Crate V30H, Class A tube head about a year ago and I've been lookin' for the perfect box to go with. You can get a matching Crate box with ToneTubbys to go with the head but it was quite expensive and it was alittle dark sounding for me. I opted for a "like new" Marshall AVT slant for 300.00 and I was pretty happy. At least until I found the Bandmaster! The old Fender box blows the Marshall out of the water!!! Problem is, is that the head only runs at 8 ohms. AVT is an 8 ohm only box and it did the job at the time. The 2 CTS 12's are 16 ohms each and makes a perfect match for the head. The cab. has excellent lows but sparkling highs at the same time. I can't believe these speakers a over 40 years old. Ultimately I have a rig that rivals a "Z" amp...
