1x12 40 watt all tube combo. I was looking for something with minimum bells and whistles and this is it! 2 channels listed as clean and medium gain, (this is NOT a shred or metal amp) What it has is TONE. Other amps in this price range often try to be all things to all people this is unfortunate as they generally end up doing none of them well. This amp does a limited number of thisgs and does them very well.

Sounds are complex and responsive to playing style and instrument choice (my Les Paul will almost not play clean yet with a "tele" it has a very pure and refined tone much like my old 1959 super) DO NOT expect this amp to produce hard rock tones without some out board help, however it sounds quite sweet with a stomp box overdrive or distortion in front of it. Some other reviewers said the OD channel was disappointing I have found that using it as a second clean channel to punch up solos is very effective try it with the gain at 4-5 (ou of 12)and the volume set for unity or just a slight increase the midrange gets just the right amount of boost for me. Remember this amp is very responsive to playing dynamics. Overall if this is the type of amp that suits your needs as far as features are concerned, it is one of the best sounding amps on the market short of going to boutique type amps and then I'm not sure that the juice is really worth the squeeze.

I had one for 9 months and replaced the tubes after 6 months. This is my habit for all my tube amps. I play 8-12 nights per week and the rest of the time the amp is stored in our trailer (I have a Pro Jr. for rehearsals but that is another story) I have experienced no drop in performance during that time. # 2 is 3 months old ... same song second verse.

This is a 1x12" 40 W all-tube combo. It has a three-band eq, presence, reverb, and bright switch. It has a normal channel and a drive channel, which can be seleced with the footswitch. It has an effects loop, which you can also use for direct recording or if you want to run a preamp into its speaker. I suppose it would be nice if this amp had tremolo or chorus, but at the very least, it has ENOUGH features.
For a "small" amp, this little guy is powerful! It's almost impossible to play at practice volume, and you can get a lot of force out of it. I think you could play a small club with it very easily.
The clean channel is fairly versatile, although I can't say the same for the distortion channel. It really only has one or two sounds, only really suited for light blues distortion.

This is a blues amp, pure and simple. The clean channel sounds simply fabulous. I compared it to everythning, from cheap Fenders and Marshalls to the most expensive Mesa\Boogie I could find. For blues, nothing came close. The sound is absolutely beautiful, a real "singing" tone. It sounds really sweet, and has tons of bass. I usually have the bass set on 3 because it's so powerful.
The distortion channel is hardly versatile, but it does what it does very well. All you can expect from this amp is light blues distortion, but it sounds REALLY great.
There is a hardly any background noise. I was playing it alongside my friend's Fender Pro 185, and you couldn't compare the amount of noise coming out. It does get worse if you're near, say, a running fan, but it's generally very good.

Don't really know, it hasn't stopped working in the short time that I've had it. Everyone says Fender has a reputation, but I don't know if it's good or bad! The warranty is 5 years and transferrable, and the tubes are guaranteed for 3 months.

This is the best investment that I have EVER made! This amp sounds truly beautiful. It is a blues player's dream-come-true. I would buy this amp again at twice the price. It would be nice if you could do more with the distortion, but the overall sound more than makes up for the lack of versatility.
The best part about this amp is that it sounds fantastic with my old gear. My cheap Les Paul ripoff sounds as good through this amp as my friend's Strat Plus does (let that be a lesson - use humbuckers with this amp!), and my little DOD distortion covers all the distortion that I can't get from the drive channel.
I'm probably biased, since my old Peavey was SO INCREDIBLY BAD, but I can't believe how good I sound through this amp. If you wan't clean blues tone, look no further!

Cleans sounds are pretty good, very reminiscent of older Fenders. Dirty sounds are ok but not ideal. The overdrive reminds me of a silverface twin or showman with a master volume. Not much gain with single coils, and what is there is smooth but a bit gritchy and thin with the volume low and has a kinda mushy low end when overdriven. The reverb is solid state driven but is still pretty nice but adds hiss above the half way point. Not a lot of noise but there's some there.

I would depend on it without much worry. I would of course have spare tubes and fuses on hand just in case.

For the money I would buy it again. It's is definitely not my ideal amp but for the price I like it. If I could afford other amps like Victorias or a Vox I would take then over this instantly. The manual says the Blues Deluxe is based on the tweed Bassman but I don't really hear it. I really wish it had a tube rectifier and tremolo too but I guess you can't always have it all.

Amp has a good sparkling clean "Bassman" type of sound. It has two channels clean and drive. The clean channel has no master so it behaves exactly like a Bassman. The drive channel brings in distortion at lower volumes...but sensitivity and responsiveness suffers..so I don't ever use it. Channel switching with footpedal. Effects loop available. and no headphone jack. I uses this amp for basement gigs...with no PA. It does well with my Strat with texas Specials and has plenty of power for these types of use

My style is Blues/Rock-n-Roll/Swing .. and it suits my style pretty good although I wish it could break up a lil in the clean setting adding some more sustain with no drop in tone. Again, you need great technique to really exploit this type of amp IMO.

I mite use it with a humbucking type of guitar. My band says I sound good..although i work too hard with my fingers to. It's a great amp..but for the dedicated clean style player. It may do an excellent job for jazz style musicians...

I think I've made a pretty good purchase. I suite well for my style of playing. sound very well with my 2 Godin guitars just a little more crisp in the drive channel and i'm in heaven. I chose the Fender more than the Crate club serie for two main reason: Fender make amps since the 50' (40', 30' ??) Resell value.
