This great little amp has two inputs, one channel (with or without vibrato), a volume, bass, treble, speed, and depth controls. I think it is about 15 watts, all tube powered. I give it a five for versitility because even though it positively ROCKS, it is simple (just the way I like it).

This is a great sounding little amp. I plug my '62 reissue Telecaster straight into it, and pick away. With my setup, the VC remains clean at full volume. It has wonderful depth at "10" but is a little raspy at lower volumes. The vibrato is pretty cool, however, it does not slow down enough for my taste. In my house only, the amp is a little noisy (probably bad grounding). I play folk-rock and alt-country (both dead-clean), and this amp produces the Fender-ish chimes I love. For sound, I give it an eight because I am sure there are other old fenders I would love more (but doubtful).

I usually use my VC for recording. It has never cut out on me or given me any other problems. I would use it for gigging (if I currently had a band), but it would need to be mic'd to be heard.

I have been playing for 12 years, and have owned my VC for half that time. If it were stolen or lost, I would probobly buy a nother one. This is why I say probobly: I love the one I own; if it werelost/stolen, I would probobly buy a newer pro-junior because I love the sound of those too (awe schucks... I would buy a vibro champ and use it also...) Although if I found a similar sounding VC, I would DEFINATELY buy it! I do wish it had reverb, but oh well... Summary: These are great amps. They perform well in bedrooms or on stage(mic'd). They are easy to find, and relatively inexspensive (range from $175 silverface to $250 blackface). Not everyone can afford a vintage Deluxe Reverb, but a "vintage" Vibro Champ is not too far out of reach. - Ed W.

This is a 10 or 12 watt all tube amp which has volume, treble, bass and two controlls for the vibrato, speed and intensity. Considering the great sounds this amp puts out, these controlls are fine. The amp has one channel, no effects loop, no headphone jack. I use this amp as a practice amp and it is great for that because it is quiet. The only feature that I wish it had was reverb.

This amp is great for the kind of music I like to play, which is blues and rock. This amp sounds very clean up to about 5 on the volume knob. Then is begins to distort. When it is just breaking up, it makes a great blues tone. I use a 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio with two humbuckers. I love the sound of this amp at lower volume settings, but unfortunatley it rattles and makes a lot of odd racket at high volumes. I think that this is because someone replaced the original speaker at some point and it has a crummy Radio Shack speaker now. I plan to get a new speaker soon. The tremolo works great!

It is about twenty five years old, with what I think are the original RCA tubes, 2 12AX7As , 1 6L6GT and 1 5Y3GT. It never cuts out and always works

It is what it is. If you need a awsome recording amp with 3 sounds from clean to bluesy overdrive this is it. Keep it simple . Buy a Big amp for gigging . And enjoy this baby with a mic or in the bedroom.

I think it's pretty good, I only use Vibroto to mess around and make people make a double take. I kinda wish it had reverb though i don't use it much anyhow. I would like it if it had a 1/4 inch speaker output instead of that weird little RCA thing, same for the reverb switch. I also wish it was grounded, I don't like being zapped. I would use this at home or at a more layed back jam.

This little amp shocked me. Usually with a little amp like this the speaker starts to crap out when you drive the amp, but with this little 8" speaker it's as clear as a bell! I play mostly blues and I have an old Duosonic and a Gibson 335. Both of them sound great through it. It has a nice tone with the bass on 8.5 and the treble on 6. It also sounds good clean, very throughtly and soulful.

I don't know I haven't really started doing anything with it yet. When I bought it though, all the blow parts (such as electrolytic capacitors which lose their polarity over time) were changed so it should serve me well for quite a while.

I think it's a great amp. Lots of tone and soul in a small package. I wish i didn't have to worry about being electrocuted and i wish that the jacks were a little less strange, but other than that it is a great deal!

This is a primitive amp. Controls are volume, bass, treble, speed, intensity. One channel. Two input jacks. It is what is, and that is a funky little 5-watt relic practice amp. It is all tube -- one 6V6 power tube, two 12AX7s and a tube rectifier. It's got an eight-inch speaker and, of course, tremolo.

For blues, it is quite good. Because of its low power, it distorts relatively easily at low volume. And it's a raunchy kind of distortion. It's a little buzzy for rock, and most hot pickups make it buzz uncomfortably. But Strat single-coils make it sing, and a P-90 equipped Hamer makes it sing. And the tremolo is ultracool, although it can be a little noisy (a quiet machine gun stutter at higher speeds). The amp is sensitive to a guitar's volume knob, so if it is distorting in an unpleasant way, rolling back the guitar's volume can usually fix the problem.

I bought this amp in barely functioning condition. With new tubes and caps it has been no problem at all. For home use, it is totally reliable -- unlike many other 26-year-old products.

For the price I paid to buy it plus repairs, absolutely I would buy it again. I can play happily while my kids sleep and my wife reads upstairs. It is funky and cool. It would be nice if it had 10 watts, but then it would be something different.
