To start with, I have an Framus Cobra head. I first had a Marshall 1960A cabinet and let me tell you this, the Cobra and a 1960A cab, NO.
It sounded so harsh, absolutely no low end, no matter what settings I used. So I decided to sell the cab and start looking for a new one.
My first choice was offcourse the matching cobra cabinet.
After reading some good reviews, I decided to order it, blindly.
Few days later, it arrived, plugged it in...
I couldn't believe what I heard, the amp sounded 100 times better.
No more harsh sound, LOTS of low end. This was the sound I was looking for.
The head and cab(I have the straight)are just build for each other.
I highly recommend this cab I you are looking for a new cab for your cobra.

Looks solid.
The tolex seems a bit fragile but nothing to worry about.
Grill provides a good protection for the speakers.

I had a few questions about connecting it, the right ohm's and stuff.
Mailed the customer service, about 7PM. 15minutes later I already got an answer to my question.
Really good service.

You know the drill, 4x12, real woods, FRONTLOADED, Greenback speakers, real tone. Lets face it, how many features can you really pack into a cab?! The Cobra has 2 inputs and can be ran mono or stereo allowing you to run as a 2x12 or 4x12 at different ohms so if you got a one trick pony head it might be usefull. The quality is top notch, and it's one of if not the best looking cabs on the market. So overall, yeah, more features than most cabs have!

STUNNING ARTICULATE CRUNCH BRUTAL UNAPOLOGETIC RAW AMP TONE DELIVERING PIECE OF EQUIPMENT! Running mostly through a cobra head w/ occasional VHT pit, Randall, or 5150 visitors. Axes consist mostly of active EMG's loaded ESP standards, Ibanez Prestige with Dimarzio D-sonic in the bridge, Caparison Dellingers 6 and 7 strings stock pups, and some Gibsons with an array of stock Gibson pups. If that list doesn't give it away I'm mostly into death metal. The bass is thick and quick due to the lower watt speaker and overall flavor that we've come to love from the greenback. Being front loaded it really rounds it out and deepens the low notes. The mids and highs just roll out smooth without being to high. Everything is just so very articulate and pronounced no matter how much gain you dump on it, it just never falls apart. I mean tone is subjective as hell, but if their is a flaw I can't find it, assuming you know what to expect from a 4x12 and what different speakers sound like. It really lets your amp breath and show it's true nature. In other words Greenbacks never sounded better in any other cab. Absolutely no woofing or unwanted cab noise dookieing on your tone. I have owned a ton of cabs, Framus dragon (great stuff) many marshall variations(some good), Peavey 5150 (good), Madisons (some good some horrible), Vht (Great stuff), Orange (Great stuff), Mesa (some good too many bad), Randall XL(really good), and spent lots of time on many other boutigue and standard cabs, and for the Cobra head/or to have greenbacks in this cab is my all time favorite. SO YEAH, lots of people say the Framus Dragon goes really well with the Cobra head and I have to disagree. It is a very clean and tight sounding cab, but the front loaded design and speaker choice of the cobra really matches the head a lot better for high gain stuff.

Very dependable they are built like tanks! I've not had the cobra cab very long, but I've been using the dragon cabs for almost 5 years and it's still in perfect shape. The Cobra grill provides incredible protection as well. The tolex is thin as everyone has mentioned, but it doesn't rip all that easily just leaves indents from stuff sitting on it. So not the strongest, but it looks and feels good so I kind of like it. I've toured without a backup (dumb, but you can always borrow one in a pinch), and I trust this one all the way!

I've dealt with framus before with a Head issue. The cobra head seems somewhat more britle than it's cab counterparts, however they were pretty quick to get back to me, but somewhat short. This stuff is very expensive and I'd like to see a little more support from them!

Overall it is expensive, but I mean quality isn't cheap, but minus a point for that. Nothing is perfect but when you take into account the numerous variables at hand...it's pretty darn close to as good as you can get. A very impressive sounding and looking piece of gear! I've played or owned more stuff than most musicians ever will in a lifetime and this cab has gotten me the closest to my ideal sound. Just for background info. I don't like pedals, and other stuff in the mix, sometimes delay or reverb is a necessary evil, but I do run a BBE live usually and thats it. So all my opinions on this cab are just raw guitar, head, and cab tone.

Loaded with Celestion 25W greenbacks. 8 ohms mono and 16 ohms stereo.
Stainless steel grill, which looks quite nice to my taste. The cab is made from 17 mm poplar hard wood.

I use the cab with my Framus Cobra head. I play mainly fast and progressive trash metal with some grind mixed in, so I need a lot of definition and tightness. This cab delivers that exactly. The gb's make the cab sound organic and bright with a nice and tight low end.

I've been playing over 10 years now, and I'd say this is as close the cab I need that I can get. If it were stolen I'd buy a new one and drop it on the thief's head!
