Its a 2006 8ohms, loaded with V30s. One input into the back. Simple.
It can be 3/4 back open but I haven't got a mop hair cut and a rickenbacker so that won't be coming off anytime soon.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a telecaster - engl thunder into this. There is a load of bright but not shrill treble on tap with these speakers and for a 212 its thick and full sounding.
The mids of the cab take a little time to get right with your EQ but once its there it sweet!
Much prefer the V30s to the G12 in marshalls, and the marshall 212 suck big time, they are just baggy sounds and shrill.

Reliability : 9
Its a speaker cab so its pretty solid. The tolex is a bit pants but I like the retro look, big tight sound!
I can load all my gear into a gig in two trips now. guitars and cab, then head and pedals! the dream

I bought this because my 4x12 is a pain to get about. I was a little bit worried about using a smaller cab as I have always used 4x12s but its refreshing to get such a rich tone from such a portable box.
For the cash too its great. I was looking for a 2 x12 for ages, oranges are nice but their 2x12s are massive and heavy, the marshall ....pants, basson and a few american brands aren't stocked in the UK, and the mesa stuff over here is just a rip off - so For under two hundred notes I happy and I'm even thinking about selling my 4x12.

2 x 12" Vintage Celestion 30 in a cabinet that is not too heavey. Single jack input on 8 ohms. I use it with a Peavey ValveKing 100 amp and these two match perfectly

Sound Quality : 9
The cab sounds great, both with clean and distorted sounds. It is loud...

Reliability : 8
I think the cab is weel built, but the covering is a little thin. I have a flightcase for it, so I don't have to worry.
Soundwise it probably won't let you down

I've tried to get some extra speakercover for it, as I accidentally damaged it a little. I've sent three emails, but got no answer...
Finally I called them on the phone and they told me it wasn't possible, at least not soon..

I'm a professional player from the Netherlands for over 25 years and own many guitars, amps and outboard. However, I wanted a tube head with a cab that I can use with just a lead and a guitar or two (three...? (-; ).
The Framus it great for that job.

Framus FR CS 2 x 12 8 ohms speaker cabinet. Pretty simple. Not too heavy and is used with my Marshall DSL100 100watt head. Good size for fitting into cars without being a backbreaker.

Sound Quality : 8
The box has Vintage 30 Celestions, which gave it the nod over a more expensive Marshall 1936 cabinet which has the 75 watt Celestions which sound too dark to me. The Framus cabinet has a very rich sound with nice round puchy bass and clear smooth highs. A very toneful speaker box.

Reliability : No Opinion
A box with two Celestion speakers should be very reliable.

Not needed

As an alternative to a quad box for my Marshall, it has proven a good buy. It can rock with plenty of projection or do clean sounds beautifully at lower volumes. The vinyl covering is not as tough as the stuff Marshall or Fender use, so some scuffing could occur when doing lots of gigs. I love the slightly retro look. Definately one to look at if you are in the market for Marshall 1936 or any other 2 x 12 cabinet.

i downgraded from a Framus Dragon 4x12 to this 2x12 because i was no longer gigging/playing in a band. I use it with the Framus Cobra head. Sounds very similiar but i havent had a chance to wear in the V30s in the CS212 compared to my dragon cab. Ive only had to do some minor tweaking mainly in the bass/deep eq of the amp. at bedroom to TV volumes this thing sounds better than the 4x12 but at higher volumes have to adjust settings. Cleans sounds warmer with same settings compared to dragon quad. One thing i found was that with the same settings for hte quad compared to the 212...my crunch and lead channels were set up very similiar with the quad...one with slighly more gain...but same settings with the 212 ...the crunch was tighter and had more mids and the lead channel was more scooped!!??
i kinda like it. MAybe it has do do with the ohms? as the dragon is 8ohms with 4xV30s and the CS212 is also 8ohms with 2xV30s.

anyways im glad i did the swap.if i were to play at gig volumes again im sure this cab will deliver.

Reliability : 5
as with all framus stuff the tolex covering is paper thin. i use a foam padding to keep the "heads feet" from imprinting on the top of the cab. my dragon cab got heaps of nicks and scratches easily even with a rockbag...but im not planning on moving this and keeping it in mint condition

i live in perth western australia...so go help me if i need to contact them

great cab for the money. only thing is i still dont like the "poo brown ox blood" colour of the grill cloth. wish this had other ohms input to experiment with.

also wish framus made a Cobra 2x12 cab...i would love to have greebacks in a 2x12

2X12 guitar cab with 2 Vintage 30's.
100 watt 8 Ohm. 18mm plywood, black tolex covering, 2 side mounted recessed metal handles, metal corners, rubber feet, 1 single jack input.
Removable rear panel allowing for closed or open back cabinet tones
Dimensions : 76 x 48 x 28cm
Weight 21 kg
Looks vintage (logo & protection cloth) and well built.
Would be perfect if it had a sloping front...

Sound Quality : 9
My guitar is an Ibanez SZ320MH, my amp a Randall RH50T.
Would the good things I read and heard about the Vintage 30's all be true? Time will tell, of course but the difference with my home-made 2X12 cab, (with 1 Celestion Sidewinder originally mounted in a Marshall 5275 and 1 Celestion Gold coming from a Marshall VS100R)is huge. No more mushy lows, or harsh treble. These speakers deliver a powerful (100db sensitivity) mid rich - but well balanced - tone with a lot of presence that suits my music style perfectly (heavy rock). I no longer need to crank it up to cut through the mix. What a relief to play nuances...and hear them! Of course it won't give you the low-end thump you can get from a 4X12, but I personally let my bassist take care of that part of the spectrum.
Still have to try it with the back panel removed, just out of curiosity...

Reliability : 9
As I stated earlier it seems sturdy and road/gig worthy. I'm very careful with my gear so i should last me a couple of years at least...

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them.
90 days warranty on the speakers. Should anything happen to them, I'd replace them myself.

Overall Rating : 9
Not too big, nor too heavy.
Really improved the sound I get with my RH50T and I guess it does with other amp heads as well.
Great cab in its price range. Makes me wonder why the Marshall 1936 costs so much more for what to my ears is hardly a decent tone.
But tone is definitly a subjective matter so try one out and let your ears decide.
