50 Watt, 6550 Power tubes but you can plug others in "Plug and Play", 5 - 12ax7's, tube rectifier, Effects loop w/level, Ohm selector, Push/Pull No Negative Feed Back switch on presence control. Two foot switchable channels but with 5 Push/Pull knobs "Who Knows?". Preamp Gain, Preamp Volume for each channel and a Master Volume make probably the most versatile amp on the planet. All these features are for TONE. No midi or modeling. Nice strong 50 watts.

This amp has several different voicings based on Fender and Marshalls. It will do very rich cleans in several different configurations. Same with crunch and distortion. It will do light crunch to heavy metal all with excellent control of bass, mid, treble and presence. If you have a rock sound in your head, you can dial it in with this amp. I've never played an amp before this one that will dial in a super excellent clean jazz lead tone with just a little bite and then go full blown saturation chiming harmonics with out ever loosing it's professional tone. Low volume or loud, you have full control to adjust in the sound you want. All you really have to think about is what speakers you want to use. I like greenbacks. They give me what I mostly want to hear. If you really want to rattle some bones, go through Vintage 30's. Both my strats and humbuckers have a place in the tone spectrum. This is a NO BS amp. Considering the amount of different tones combined with the quality of the sounds, this amp easily rates a 12 or 14 in my book.

Reliability : 10
So far everything works and sounds great. No problems.

Excellent quality all around. It is a fun amp to own especially if you like to explore different guitar sounds. I get in a clean mood and I'm there. If I feel like tearing up some OZ, Scorpions, Pantera, it's all there. It's taken me awhile to write this review because this amp is NO "one trick pony". It's more like a circus or better yet a Rubik's cube. You don't just sit down one night and figure this thing out. There's a lot to explore. Go out and buy a Marshall for $1400 and you get ONE Marshall sound. This MMx2 has at least 5 different Marshall sounds! Plus a couple of Fenders. For all it's got, it's worth much more than what I paid for it. Every time I play and fiddle with this amp, I walk away with a smile. I'm very happy to own one.

The amp was made in 2007. 50 watts. 2 6550's. 5 12AX7's, a GZ34 and a 5U4GB for the tubes. Two switchable channels that'll cover every style there is. Nice effects loop. Has every feature I could want. Mine has optional switches for an added FRED bridge, for definition in lighting fast leads everywhere on the neck and a switch to switch between different rectifier tubes of my choice which just happpen to be a GZ34 and a 5U4GB...nice options! Comes with separate tone ,gain and volume controls with each channel and a master volume and a presence. The first channel is like a richer version of the Frenzel 5E3SD with and added gain stage which is engaged by pulling the volume knob and the usual frenzel Fender style or Marshall style voicings changed by pulling the gain knob. The second channel is it's own beast with 3 usable stages of gain engaed by the gain and volume knobs. Read all about it on this link to Trevor Frenzels's amp site http://musiciscool.com/FrenzelElectronics/MMx2.htm

This amp can make the nicest of a wide variety of clean, crunch, overdriven and distortion in the world. Not a bad tone anywhere on the amp. The tones start off nicely balanced with all the tone knobs a the 12 o'clok position and it's just play time from there to cover the widest variety of usables tones imaginable in one amp. And once you take into account the differant stages of accesable gain and the Fender and Marshall voicings it's just awesome...Nice job Trevor! It'll cover every style of music, unless your looking for tones that sound like crap. If your looking for "those" kind of tones you won't like this amp, but if your looking for real nice lead tones, creamy distortions, nice clear articualte, and powerful metal tones, beautiful cleans, great crunches and blues tones then you just might like this amp. It is very quiet amp when it's idling. Plus the price won't force you to sell your first born child.

Reliability : 10
It's a Frenzel of course it's reliable unless you do something stupid it should last for years and years. Your backup will probably never get used unless it's a tube.

These are the best customer support people in the buisness. Warrenty is for a year. They usually answer your E-mails the same day during the week and the weekend E-mails are usually answered on Monday. Service is fast, freindly and fair.

It's one of the best amps in the world. It is the best amp value in the world at it's current introductory price of $1549.00 US. I've owned Mesa Boogies, VHT's, Bogners, Fenders, etc. This one is the only one I would gig with right out of the box with the stock tubes. Blows away my Ecstasy 101B in every way, except one.....price. There the Ecstasy takes the cake as it costs more then twice as much for far worse tone. Do the math. For $1549.00 it's the best deal in the amp world right now.
