Features : 10
This amp is brand new, straight form Fuchs in March of 2006. I ordered this amp with green Tolex with the Marshall Cane grill cloth and it looks great. Worked with Michael Lewis (www.michaellewismusic.com) to get just what I wanted... and I highly recommend Michael. He's very knowledgable about these amps and is a great player and a great guy.

I got the 30 Watt model with four 6V6GT power tubes. Bendix 5992 tubes have been installed. It also has 2 Eminence Patriot Red, White and Blues speakers. The HT (hand-tuned) features include and extra pull pot that selects a different tonal structure and hand matched parts, among other things. It is a two chaneel switcher that shares tone controls. It has a very nice sounding built-in reverb, versatile effects loop, Accent control to adjust negative feedback. It has several pull pots and switches that give it an extremely wide toal range. I play mostly light Jazz and Blues, with a little classsic rock thrown in for good measure.

Sound Quality : 10
I play an ES335 style guitar with Seymour Duncan '59 PUs. The amp sounds fantastic! The cleans are warm and full sounding, with just the right amount of clarity... and the OD channel can go from just a hint of break-up, to Dumble OD tone... and beyond. The funny thing is, I have a hard time making it sound bad. Altough I don't have Larry Carlton or Robben Ford's chops, at least I can get their tones now... and for a lot less than the cost of a Dumble! The controls actually do something with this amp... unlike some other amps I've owned. Reverb sounds nice, although I'm using a TC Electronics G-Major in the EFX loop and the plate reverb in that unit sounds a little richer. I'm never owned or played an amp that has so many great sounds and so much versatility... and I've been playing for 35 years!

Reliability : 10
Only had it a little while, but it seems to be built like a tank... and I know Andy Fuchs and Michael Lewis stand behind this product 100%. This model has ben produced for a few years now, so it seems that all the bugs have been worked out.

Customer Support : 10
Andy and MIchael have bent over backwards to help me get just what I wanted... and Michael even supports you after the purchase with some custom control settings that he's worked out over the time he's been playing a Fuchs. Andy is also great returning e-mails and seems very dedicated to his amps.

Overall Rating : 9
This is a truly inspring amp. I have nothing but great things to say about it. It is also a pretty expensive amp... so I would expect high levels of everything! The good thing is... I'm not disappointed in the least and would highly recommend any Fuchs product. I can especially recommend the ODS30SLX-HT... because that's the one I own... but I've also heard great things about the newer Triple Drive Supreme and the single channel series of amps. The only reason I don't give it a ten is that nothing is perfect and we always want to leave a little room for improvement.
