This amp is brand new (summer 2005) and was a special order, as my local dealer had no 20 watters in stock. This amp is pretty versatile. I guess as versatile as a great sounding tube amp can be. It has two channels, an effects loop (series or parallel), and several other bells and whistles. 20 watts through two 6V6 tubes. I generally don't like amps with this many options, and at one time swore off channel switching amps, but this amp is an exception to the rule. I use this amp at medium/small sized clubs and also at home. This thing will get plenty loud for these situations, as long as you don't have a crazy drummer or a crazy second guitarist along side of you. If you do, then you might would need to mike it... or better yet get a louder version. There are several versions of this amp available.

I am a fender man. I use telecasters and stratocasters through this amp. This amp has the best overdrive sound I have ever heard. It is different than any other amp I have heard before. Of course, people compare this amp to a Dumble... I have never been close to a Dumble (as far as I know) in my entire life, so I can't comment on that. It does sound like recordings of Dumbles that I have heard in the past before though. I didn't buy this amp to get a Dumble tone, I bought it to get the Fuchs tone after trying one out at Willcutt Guitars of Lexington, KY.
I play country, blues, and rock primarily. This thing isn't a country amp really, but you can get some good twang out of it. I think it is primarily a blues amp... at least for me. If you have a really good quality amp, you can make it work for several different styles. This thing is whisper quiet too!!
Everyone knows that tube amps have to be cranked to get the goods. This is true with this amp more than any other amp I have tried, heard, or owned. Even at high gain settings, the tones are smooth, balanced, and articulate. Articulate seems to be a catch phrase as of late when describing guitar tones, but this amp is! I have played or owned nearly everything, new botiques style amps, old classics. This thing sounds different. It won't replace every amp you have, but it is a great addition to your arsenal. No, I will say it is essential to my guitar tone lineup. Try one out (at least at an intermediate volume) and you will see what I mean.
I hate to give something a 10, but I am so excited about this new tone I have now. I would probably give it a 9.5 just because I have to hear myself playing through it instead of SRV. If he was using this amp, it would be a 10. This amp is only limited by me.

I haven't been through the honeymoon stage with this thing yet. I do constantly gig without a backup because I drive a car and don't have room. Time will tell, but my guess is that the thing will last.

Andy and the gang are easy to get along with. I made a few modifications to my original request and they met them for me with no problems at all. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a 10.

This thing is just great. Nothing else to say. Everyone has different opinions, when it comes to guitar gear especially. But this amp just suits me very well. If it were stolen, I would be very upset; but for the first time ever in my guitar amp buying/trading history, I think I would order another one with the exact same specs. I just love the way it sounds. The only other amp that might would compare to it is the Two Rock Custom Reverb. I haven't heard one, but hear they are great. A combo also costs around $4200. I don't need something that expensive. This was more than enough.
Do yourself a favor and try one out. If you like the smooth, clear, articulate overdrive, then you will love this amp.
