small combo guitar amp 20 watts from 2 el84 and one ecc83 has a transistor preamp with one volume, one tone and vibrato spped and intensity. low input and high input(as in treble and bass. one 12" speaker purchased for $130 australian with leaky filter capacitor too much bass/treble gain for my liking and transistor preamp has been replaced with fender blackface preamp at a cost of $25 for parts. no idea when it was made.

using a fender strat and fender jazz bass in jazz combo work very little distortion except at extreme volume before modifications were made.

reliable as all of same vintage...its no different than an old fender or vox or ephiphone... they all copied from each other it seems!

i love it!especially with the fender preamp. I am not about to sell it but instead build a higher power version to use a larger venues.
