This is a very basic 30 watt tube bass amp that can also be used for guitar. Three knobs (Volume, Bass, Trebel) and a power switch. No standby. No FX loop. No reverb or anything else. I would compare it to an old Traynor Bassmate or a Fender Bassman.

This is where it shines! It sounds like a Fender but for half the price. Beautiful for bass or guitar. Breaks up nicely with a bit of volume. Put a TS9 in front and you are set.

All Garnet products are built well but always have a backup. I have two of these things (well, one is a G45B and the other is a T45B that was released under the stencil name "Pan" - but aside from some minor differences, they are the same thing) and use them in stereo in the studio. I take them both to a gig so that one serves as a backup.

Gar died last year but I understand he served his customers even when he was in his 80's. Not sure if anyone is carrying on the company... I know they were making the Garnet Guillotine just a few years back.

I'd buy another for the right price. I got both of mine for soooo cheap and they sound sooooo good. I've been playing all styles for 15 years. Would be nice if it had a reverb, but I really do like the simplicity of this thing so I'm not complaining.
