my friend works at a music store and just gave me one of these heads that was sitting in the back of the music store. There is tons of damage to it. It looks like all it needs though is new transformers (which i know is probably expensive) and a new set of tubes (its missing one preamp tube) but I'm pretty interested in fixing it.
I was extremely surprised to find this amp reviewed on harmony central.
It has 2 jacks labeled "echo" on the back I figure thats vintage terms for effects loop. If anybody knows anymore about this amp or where i could find any compatible transformers e-mail me fillions@gmail.com

This is a mid 70's Ganet Pro 200 custom Combo. This amp's tone is so nice and warm. It has been custom built in side for more of marshall bluesbreaker sound though it does have 6L6 tubes. I has great break up for rock, blues and the clean is smoking for jazz and country. It doesn't have reverb though with it's warm tone it makes up for it. I has a hot red tolex cover to make it stand out on stange. It's 50 watts of pure tone.

I use strats, tele's, and a les paul. Set on the bridge pickup with this am it growls like crazy and smokes for great leads and great crunching chords. I'm glad it has a boost for the volume, mid, bass, and treble. Sound is thick yet clear to hear every note strumed or picked. I have it going through two Jensen 12" JCH12/70's and killer speakers do help!

This is a custom box, and looks much like a Marshall bluesbreaker or Vox AC 30. It is hot red. For the age of amp being from mid 70's it is in very good shape. It is built like a tank and can take all the live show abuses and me jumping on it.

Well Garnet is know for it's great tone produced by the GUESS WHO back in the 60's. They are point to point amplifires from Winnapeg manitoba CANADA, yes the land where music is everywhere and everything! We are all looking for our own sound and trying to be original, here's your chance by owning a GARNET.

I play a Fender Telecaster and an Ibanez RG550. It's incredible for rock, blues, country or whatever and handles all effects with the understanding of a mother. Distorts sweetly at high volumes and makes guitar volume and attack speed major tools.

It is a point-to-point wired all tube amp that could fall from a plane and be repaird. I had minor service done by Gar Gillies himself at his cool little lab on St. Matthews in Wpg.

If this amp breaks down it's only because it needs to go see it's Daddy, Gar Gillies. He gives it a little TLC and before you can rent a Marshall, you have it back sounding better than it did before somehow. Some people just know sound.

I'm lucky to have gotten this amp for the price I did and can you believe it, it came with the original Garnet 2X12 Cabinent. I love my amp and no it's not for sale.
