Let me start with a little backstory.

I switched to tube amps a few years ago when I played my (highly) modified SG Special with a '57 Classic Humbucker through a Marshall JCM900 setup. I realized that it was much closer to the tone I was looking for, so after a long deliberation I decided on a Marshall JCM2000 head.

I took this head to guitar shops everywhere, searching for a cab that would suit it. I played the Genz Benz G-Flex 2 x 12 alongside a Marshall Classic 4 x 12 (yes, 4 x 12) cab. The difference was unbelieveable.

First of all, the output level of the GB cab was the same, if not louder than the Marshall cab, which had double the amount of speakers (not to mention nearly double the price). Aside from that, It also had a very clean, balanced high-attack sound. It melds perfectly with my Marshall head, and is perfect for my style because I needed a little added clarity for my leads/ certain rhythms that I just couldn't get from a gritty, britty Marshall.

Reliability : 10
I use this cab solely everywhere I tour, and I have no worries. The previous review mentioned that it was built like a rock, and I couldn't agree more.

Like I mentioned, I own a modified Gibson SG Special - Bigsby tailpiece, '57 classic humbucker on the neck and soon I will have the P-94 (bucker-style P-90) on the bridge. I currently don't run any effects, just the Marshall JCM2000's tone.

I will say that this cab's speakers lack the *added* low end and fuzz of a Marshall or Mesa-Boogie, though it CAN handle anything you throw at it. If you're looking for an amp/cab combo with exessive lows and meatiness, I suggest you look at getting the Genz Benz amp head to match. These speakers, in my opinion, have the extra mids and treble that rounds out that beefy sound that Marshall is known for.

In the future, I do plan on getting an extention cab that is a little fuzzier, like an Orange 4 x 12, to play alongside the GB. I think that would be a nice combo with any tube head.

Overall, this cab is perfect for my style of playing, which is mostly very blues-centered rock. People ask me all the time how I get my guitar to cut through the mix so smoothly, and I tell them all the same thing: The Genz Benz cab brings out the very best in my amp. I recommend you hear this cab for yourself and see if you don't agree.

its a cabinet, they general dont have features

Sound Quality : 10
This is they best cab you could buy for the money, and in my opinion the cab you could probably buy, its a 2X12 180 watts, its has a very good ressonance, you can just feel the thickness, even if you play through a crappy head it can make it sound good, it can hold its own with mesa boogie's and marshall's,

Reliability : 10
i dont think i could break it if i tried it is built like a rock very stable, and it never gives out noises you dont want, like those annoying little farts and cracks, its amazingly clean and crisp with that low reverb twang sound going on great for metal rock blues jazz hardcore and country
