So let's make it as was requested: my amp was made in 2006 and I got it in December 2006. I play blues and jazz and the amp can cover both of these styles. It has 2 channels (clean and overdrive) but also two inputs (HI and LO) - LO is cleaner and more quiet. Effect loop, no headphone jack - but this amp has perfect volume button !!! you can play in the middle of the night (I have had severaL 20-30Watts tube amp and non of them could make me play overnight in my flat). I don't use effect loop cause my rig is very simple: the guitar and the tube amp (I don't like any effect in the chain and I don't needed them - simple is beautifull). I use the amp at home. It has reverb built in. The amp is enough strong to play in any pub, band playing rooms etc. It's very strong if that is needed. Additionally, the amp is handmade from selected commponents and looks great.

The pure vintage sound! Perfect for blues and rock! I play blues and jazz and clean sound is very important for me and it gets distorted but I don't play my music and jazz standards with volume level higher than 5 (half volume for 30 Watts amp is really load!!!) so I don't see the problem. Distortion is not brutal at all. It's smooth and creamy. Very close to L. Carlton sound if you use appropriate guitar. So I have 2 guitars: a solid body Ibanez made in Japan with SD'59 pickup set (coil-split) and an Epiphone (L-5 copy) also with SD'59 vintage pickups. The amp works great with both of them for blues and jazz. The is not dead silent cuase it's a tube amp but the noise is not present on the settings I play. I use an external speaker 12 inch from George Dennis too (with pure Jensen magnets) - real vitage set up.

The amp is built very very solid and it's strong (the head has ~15Kg). I will use it on a gig without backup (anyway 3 pre-amp tubes it's easy to replace 10 minutes max. and I would suggest to have some of them just to feel good, but I'm sure the amp will make the job. My friend plays regulary with his amp (also George Dennis) for more than a year without any kind of problem. I have my amp 2 months but I play nearly every day for an hour at least so...). I'm going to change the tubes on regular service base as was written in the manual.

I wrote to George directly after I saw one of his amps and played with it. George help me to choose the right amp and to built a kind of custom speaker as I wanted. All went perfect and fast - very profesional. I still send an email to George from time to time and the answer is there at the same day. Always very friendly and correct. 2 years warranty is also great.

I've been playing for more that 20 years as a hobby player. I just have the two guitars already mentioned above. I will stay to the George Dennis tubes amps until I died. Period. I tried many of them (price range until 1500$) but no one was that good for me. I had several tube amps before but this one was more vintage. I will mentioned HK Tube 20th Anv., Koch Studio etc. So why GD amp: vintage, handmade, good for home playing - read silent, great tone controls, good quality components in. On the end I would like to say that searching for your sound is not easy but reading about GAS helps, reading about the gears used by your favourite players, talking to people in the forums and most important is to try the gears (guitar, amps, effects without rush, when you have time at home or garage). Thanks to Harmony-Central and it's community for helping me all these years. Cheers!!!

Made in 2005. Great amp for Jazz/Blues/Hard rock. Interesting and smart system of sound correction, but very useful. This amp has two channels clear and lead, effect loop and symetric out. It has small in dimensions, but big in volume (30 W sinus, but it plays like 60 W amp) so you can have volume more than enough :-) Reverb with extra knob for sensitivity for lead channel.

I play on Fender squier Jagmaster with humbuckers pickups, and i can't complain about sound. I use this head with Sapling Stack also from George Dennis (two halfstacks with celestion greenback repro).
Wery nice work with dynamics. Amp keeps character of every guitar.
You can get from this baby tons of sounds only with right settings of knobs on guitar and pickups combinations. Sound shaping is exactly based on George's philosophy: "You are the master, not the amp!"
On clean channel you can get form brilliant acoustic sound with mild basses and superb trebles to amazing crunch. Lead channel is very versatile. From soft crunch to brutal ditorsion, especially when you use humbuckers.
You can play with minimal volume with minimal loss of your sound.

I play for 10 years (5 on acoustic guitar, 5 on electric guitar) and this amp gives me huge range of possibilities. I've owned two combos before, but this giant is absolutely incomparable with them. You can play on singe coils or humbuckers, in every situation you can find YOUR sound. Rating SOUND,FEATURES,RELIABILITY/VALUE is unbeatable.

This tube amp is about 1 year old but was bought new in an amp shop about 1 month ago..I hear there are only a hundred of these suckers made..It has 2 channels and they both sound real solid...My guitar player has a bogner and this competes with it!!!It also has an effects loop and DI output...even though it is 30 watts anyone who want to get any louder will be looking at the bottom corner of the church channel trying to read the sign language.......it would nice if it had a fan because this puppy gets pretty hot but putting one in should solve that.....oh ya this amp has 4 EL 84s......
