I purchased the amp a month ago .I think it's build in 2005.
2 channels clean and lead footswitchable.Reverb footswitchable and
sensitivy pots for each channel, very good!Tone pots in the clean channel are bass, middle, treble and one volume.Lead channel is gain,
tone, volume.effects loop.Alnico speaker jensen p12n.40 watts,plenty
of power out of 4 EL84.Switchable rectifier also,on that later.
This amp has rehearsals only at the moment but shure enough it will get on stage with a Tele and a Strat. This amp is contender to names
like TWIN, Deluxe Reverb, Bassman,Bluesbreaker.

Well, I never had heard of that company,so my mind and ears were
free.Like I said before mostly there are Strats and Teles sometimes
P90 equiped Les Pauls.Styles should be Classic Rock,Blues and Country.
This amp does it perfectly for me.In the lead channel gain is never
past 2,5. Clean is,well I didn't expect that from EL84.
All in all I have to say this is an high quality amp build of high
quality parts(just have look on them fat transformers), and sounds
very good to me. I especially like the jensen alnico.

Why must there always be a hair in the soup?Cause it gets spicier?
I got offered this amp from private.I was not in the mood and not
willing to test it.But that guy was sturdy(as is the amp).
Gave it a try several times and two rehearsals.Began to like it.
Then all of a sudden. In a guitarchange back from standby to on,
little flickering of the lights and......DEAD.
Well I said "easy decision now, thumps down" and carried it ot of
rehearsalroom,like, don't look back.
You guessed it I came back.Changed the mains fuse, fire it up
again and theres the little ************. Fireworks in the tube
rectifier! Put a new tube in and here we are.I know this amp is solid
but due to that.

Soundwise this amp is a very good catch. Its no Fender and no Marshall
it stands on its own very good.If only an Deluxe Reverb Reissue had
an Alnico too.Know what I mean? Clean or crunch but no metal.
If lost or stolen it could be hard to find another one.
In fact I wouldn't part with mine.

The new Spit Fire is all tube, dual rectifier amp. I both it at Nowember in the factory brand store. The amp have two chanels. The lead channel have now the same controls as Clean - Treble, Middle, Bass, Volume and Gain beyond. By rectifier change to tube have the amp on both channels nice blues dynamic sound and by switch on SS rectifier got the amp little bit harder rock sound set-up. Is nice I can play variable fashion only by change over rectifier switch. For the erlier amp I given number 9 but now I can give rating 10 because it is simple amp where are functional all controls for obtain a real good blues and rock sound. On the lead channel is no problem to set metall sound too. The reverb control knob is on the rear panel.

The clean soun is crystal and I can say, I have had no amp with so nice clean sound as the Spit Fire. I use Fender Strat 73 and Gibson LP Custon 73 and with both guitars I can obtain nice clean sound. By volume 8-10 give the clean channel nice incredible blues crunch.
The same crunch give the lead channel by gain knob on 2. I find that the gain position on 4 is fantastical for my Gibson and on 6-7 for the Strat Lead channel is very variable and principal I can use the same soun by volume 1 to 10.
