Wow, what an amplifier--it was made in 1979--hence the name, and they are very difficult to locate. It is quite versatile with plenty of tube warmth, and it is the only amp made by Gibson that I have ever seen. It has reverb and tremolo with a footswitch. And it has a special imput for an Accordian. It has two channels, which are basically the same and no out for headphones. It's a tube amp. It has no channel switching. I use this amp for playing blues-oriented material.
Sound Quality

This amp is well suited for my style--blues and classic rock It is a little noisy, but then it is almost twenty years old. It can make weak tremolo sounds and has a fair spring reverb. I cannot get a clean sound from this amp There is no distortion switch, but the distorted sound is pretty bluesy.
Reliability

While is sounds good--the amp is quiet fragile and I wouldn't go anywhere without a backup. Sometimes, it drops out and I need to flip a switch to make it work again. The amp has broken down--I don't really know why, maybe the tubes were old.
Customer Support

I didn't deal with Gibson because the amp is so old that they probably forgot about it. I haven't any documents abotu the warranty--it's probably expired.

I probably could not find another one of these amps, but I would make sure that the amp was in good condition.
